Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
On Friday, May 9th Woodbridge Plumbing replaced my hot water heater without performing any diagnostics, determining if there was an issue with the water heater and with no root cause analysis on the cause of the standing water( which is the reason for my call the prior day)The technician confirmed that he performed no diagnosticsThey are professional plumbers, they should have determined the issueTheir response implies that I am a disgruntled customer that stopped payment due to buyers' remorse nearly week laterI stopped payment on the check that same day, as an unnecessary service was providedThe company was informed that I stopped payment immediatelyI informed the emergency operator (on 5/9), *** (the tech who took my 2nd emergency call, also,on 5/9), and *** ***, one of the managers/owner with whom I spoke the following MondayCopies of the stop payment order issued to my bank can be made available, upon requestI recognize that I have a new hot water heater (although it was not required) and am willing to bear some of the expenseThe invoice amount from Woodbridge Plumbing is $I propose a $payment be made which will more than cover the cost of the water heater + their travel expensesPer *** and *** sites the retail cost of the model installed in my home is $It is most probable that their inventory purchases are made at wholesale, so this is an equitable resolutionThe invoice notes a $travel expense

A significant portion of the leaking water line ran under and along [redacted]'s driveway. [redacted] was aware that the technicians were digging under the edge of the driveway (and repairs were made without cutting the driveway asphalt).Woodbridge Plumbing's technicians dug down to the water line and located and repaired a hole in the pipe approximately the size of a ballpoint pen head. After repair was completed, the technicians put the dirt (and mud) back under the driveway edge as best as they could and spread seed and straw over the repaired area.On October 24, 2013, Woodbridge Plumbing reported to [redacted]'s [redacted], VA residence in response to a request from [redacted] regarding water running down her driveway (from the general area Woodbridge Plumbing had worked on October 17, 2013). The leaking water was creating a large void under the driveway.Woodbridge Plumbing's technicians' dug down to the water service line and immediately noted that the October 17, 2013 repair was not leaking. A pinhole had developed approximately 1' from the hole repaired on October 17, 2013. The technicians repaired the most recent pinhole and turned on the water to test the repair. When the water was turned back on, another hole in the line was discovered. The technicians repaired this leak, turned on the water to test repair site, NOTE: The repair area was very muddy, The technicians then backfilled the repair area under the edge of the driveway with the wet dirt, and spread seed and straw over the repair access area. At that time, Woodbridge Plumbing advised [redacted] that the water service fine between her house and the county water connection was very likely at the end of its useful life (and would very likely develop roore holes and leaks) and suggested that the entire water service line be replace, at the very least, the portion between the meter and the driveway. The development of more pinholes on the aging service line and the resulting leaks erode away the dirtin and around the water service pipes-which are located under and alongside the driveway. The lack of dirt under the driveway is very likely the reason the driveway is sinking and cracked. On April 18, 2014, Woodbridge Plumbing reported to [redacted]'s [redacted] residence to address her request to add dirt to the hole where Woodbridge Plumbing made several repairs to the water service line in October 2013. The technicians added dirt, tamped it down.[redacted] did contact Woodbridge Plumbing again after April 18, 2014 regarding adding more dist under her sagging driveway. Woodbridge Plumbing advised that the asphalt would need to be cut to add more dirt (only so much dirt could be added without cutting into the asphalt driveway). Again, Woodbridge Plumbing highly suggested that the water service line at her residence be replaced (either in part or entirely).Again, we apologize to any customer who does not feel they received the best service possible from Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc. We greatly regret these situations and always attempt to work with the þarty in question,Sincerely,Willie J. President

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The repairs made on October 17, 2013, was coordinated and
paid for by my insurance company, [redacted].  [redacted]
scheduled a contractor come to my home to locate and mark the problem area,
prior to Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, coming out to do the work.  When Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, came out to
complete the work they bypassed the spot the [redacted] contractor marked, located on
drive way and in turn dug under the asphalt.
Due to Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc., digging in the wrong location my
driveway is now sinking in.  I contacted
the company on October 24, 2013, and explained to the dispatcher my concerns
and the problems we were experiencing.
They assured me someone would be out to look at the problem, but I was never given an appointment date.
When I returned home that evening, there was evidence
that Woodbridge Plumbing, Inc, had returned to my home that day, because there
was straw surrounding the problem area.
A few weeks later I received a bill in the mail from Woodbridge
Plumbing, Inc.  The company was charging
me for additional work that I was not unaware of, never approved, and also was not
part of the previous work my insurance company paid for.
My husband and I have both taken pictures of our
driveway, and we are in no way happy with the outcome.  We are 100% not satisfied with the work done
or the lack of unprofessionalism we have experienced from Woodbridge Plumbing,
Inc.  One of the last conversations I had
with a manager at the company was they would be willing to “work a deal out”.  I am still clueless as to what this “deal”
would consist of!  I even had to take
extra precaution to cover the hole, preventing anyone from stepping in the hole
and injuring themselves.

Review: On Thursday,5/8, I standing water in my basement. We thought it was the water heater and turned off the water heated. On Friday, 5/9, Woodbridge Plumbing ([redacted]) came and replaced the water heater. That evening, I had standing water in my basement again. The repairman came back and indicated the issue was condensation with my A/C, not the water heater. He indicated that he did not test the water heater or confirm that this was the issue. When I asked him why, he indicated because we had turned off the water to the heater and he assumed that was the issue. I also asked if it is a lot more work to test, or turn the water back on. He said no, but he assumed the issue was the water heater. We actually did not need a water heater, the professional plumber provided an unnecessary service for which we paid $1,410.Desired Settlement: We have stopped payment on the check, but recognize that we have a new water heater (though not needed!).

I am rejecting this response because:On Friday, May 9th Woodbridge Plumbing replaced my hot water heater without performing any diagnostics, determining if there was an issue with the water heater and with no root cause analysis on the cause of the standing water. ( which is the reason for my call the prior day). The technician confirmed that he performed no diagnostics. They are professional plumbers, they should have determined the issue.Their response implies that I am a disgruntled customer that stopped payment due to buyers' remorse nearly 1 week later. I stopped payment on the check that same day, as an unnecessary service was provided. The company was informed that I stopped payment immediately. I informed the emergency operator (on 5/9), [redacted] (the tech who took my 2nd emergency call, also,on 5/9), and [redacted], one of the managers/owner with whom I spoke the following Monday. Copies of the stop payment order issued to my bank can be made available, upon request.I recognize that I have a new hot water heater (although it was not required) and am willing to bear some of the expense. The invoice amount from Woodbridge Plumbing is $1410. I propose a $650 payment be made which will more than cover the cost of the water heater + their travel expenses. Per [redacted] and [redacted] sites the retail cost of the model installed in my home is $439. It is most probable that their inventory purchases are made at wholesale, so this is an equitable resolution. The invoice notes a $28 travel expense.

Review: Woodbridge Plumbing did water repair work at my resident but a few days later I had the same problem with water draining dow the driveway. They came back but this time the hold they dug starting sinking. My insurance company [redacted] paid for the work but they billed me for coming back saying they had to replace something else but did it without contacting me and I received a bill in the mail and this problem reoccured. See below the email I sent to their companies manager's.

I'm writting in response to work that was done at my resident, [redacted], VA [redacted], on 10/24/2013. I still have an outstanding balance, but the reaseon for this email is: (1) dirt laided was not put under the pavement in driveway for support (2) they came back but placed dirt where digging was done and still nothing to suport the driveway (3) pavement in driveway is sinking and now cracked. I'm affraid someone may get hurt not knowing the sink is there and I can't park my vehicle on that side of the driveway due to the fact my tire may get stuck. I have called several times in reference to this situation but still no prevail.

After sending this email they contacted me and told my husband they could make a deal with him and redo whatever the problem is now. I stopped paying on the balance owning them which I don't think I should have been billed for work the insurance company had paid for and them not saying they had to do something addition and then send me a bill.
