Review: On January 17, 2014, my gas tank fell off of my truck. It had to be towed. The local volunteer fire department called Woodland Auto Clinic. They are locatedapproximately one city block away from where my truck was disabled. Jim, the man that I talked to that day was the man that I dealt with. He was not a pleasant person to deal with. Mind you, my truck is 17 years old. Jim quoted me a price for the work that needed to be done; $605.00. I said to wait on the parts and I talked to my son who is stationed at Fort Hunter Army Airfield base. My son ordered the parts needed for the repair at half the price quoted me by [redacted]. They Believing that I was saving money was not the case. Jim ended up charging me $200.00 for the tow and he also double taxed me on the 5.10 gallons of gas that they needed to get the truck to work. When all was said and done the bill came awful close to the original amount he quoted me. The bill was over $587.00. The over charge was an out right farce. I called the local sheriffs department and several other garages and not one said that the tow I got should of been near the price that Jim charged me. Truely a case of over charging for services.Desired Settlement: I feel that I should get a refund for part of the towing over charge and a refund on the over charge of the doubling of tax on the fuel that was purchased.
