Woodsprings Animal Clinic Reviews (3)

This is a copy of the letter I sent to the business and never received a responseI have not paid the balance of my bill, $308.60:
Woodsprings Animal Clinic

RE: Account No13XX February 15,
Bo WeaXXXXXXXX
DrMark and DrKristin,
It has taken me some time to be able to reply to the bill that I received regarding the balance due on my account for BoBo belonged to my mother who's last request was that I care for him!
The reason for my procrastination is I am still not over being enraged by the whole encounterI appreciated the person who helped me out to the car the day that I checked Bo out, and do not want this to reflect on her for not collecting the balance at that time
I don't know if you were keeping up with Bo's progress but I am going to give you my interpretation
On or around January 7th, I had noticed that Bo was not able to walk, it happened instantly and I had assumed he had fallen down the stair in my back yardI called your office and made an appointment to bring him in since you were my mother's vet(XXXXX) When I got there I was assigned to DrSI requested/OKed a full workup on him, including x-rays, heart worm check, (he had them once before) anything I would need to make a decision on his treatment or to be euthanized
DrSstated that it was her opinion that he must have hurt his back when he fellI was guessing he fell I had no evidence or explanation for his 'injury' She felt that with laser treatments, and medication that he most likely could make a full recovery and would need to stay a couple of days I asked what did she note in regards to heart worms, his age being a factorshe breezed over my questions and reiterated the previous statementI agreed to treatment per her recommendation
Later, when I called to check on him I was told he was having trouble having a BM and urinating which would required he be catheterized to empty his bladderWhen I came in to see him apparently he had fallen into his poop because he could not hold himself up, so I spent part of my visitation cleaning him up! Not cool!
To shorten the story, this went on for about a week, DrSstated he should be able to come home the following Monday, he was making great progress...she requested that I should keep him there over the weekend with the hopes of sending him home MondayAt this point I was told he was standing some, peeing, having BM without laxatives but later found out they were still having to cath himI know that veterinary medicine is a science not a miracle So the couple of days turned into a weekI came in Monday to take him homeNevertheless...I was told he was not able to go home because "something must have happen to him in his cage on Sunday and he was no longer able to walk again"Once again, I was given the opinion that he just needed more treatments and more time to recoverEveryone was being very optimistic and upbeat which kept me hopeful as well, meanwhile Bo was having to stay in a cage, falling into his poop, could no longer walk and appeared very sad...which broke my heart and made me second guess my choice to put him through this
I went thought a similar ordeal with my mother's other dog Buddy, which I was convinced, by your office, to have a tumor that I discovered removed only to be told later after finding one in his mouth..."oh yes, he has several more"That dog should have been euthanized instead of used as a science project!
ANYWAY...I had a friend offer to help pay and take Bo to another veterinary that was more specialized and had up-to-date equipmentI came and got his x-rays and medical records and was given an emergency appointment Within a short period of time after arriving, being able to go back with the doctor, to look at the x-rays I had provided it was discovered Bo could not pee because his prostate was the size of a baseballI was the one who pointed at the large mass and asked "what is that??" I noticed it and I'm not a vetHe had to be cath to relieve some pressure while I could process what had occurredI was told that his urine was rancid and it appeared his bladder was never fully voided The x-rays your office had taken were not even of his whole body just his back end and not clear so another full set was taken which clearly showed two clotsLong story shorten again...it was determined that Bo was in advanced stages of heart worms, had apparently thrown two clots into his spine causing the pressure on the cord...well you know the rest of that scenario I had to have Bo put down that day!
It still breaks my heart to think what I put him through, how he lost his dignity in the end and was not offered a peaceful rest on the first day! Needless to say that second vet ordeal was another $which included his cremation cost

My three dogs were boarding at woodsprings animal clinic and were neglected
I have three dogs that I took to woodsprings animal clinic in ***on June 17th at pm to be boarded for days Several days before I took them I searched there web site and it stated $for dogs < pounds and half price for your other dogs if they can stay in the same large cage , and I called to make an appointment and to confirm the priceI also have a print out of the web site stating the price..But my main complaint is that when I came back on June 26th on a Sunday to get my dogs I went in the back where my dogs were and they were all in a very small cage,I was shocked at how they looked I could tell right away that they had lost weight and when I picked them up in my arms I new they had lost weight and they were so dirty and smelled terrible My dogs were neglected they were not fed properly ( I left instructions how to feed them and brought their own food in a bag to give them)

Woodsprings Animal Clinic has been wonderful to my fur babies and my familyThey go above and beyond to take care of my animals treating each of them as their own!
