Review: the company is refusing to respond to my calls about problems resulting from its tear-off and replacement of a roof and gutters in Jan 2013 and to return a portion of a deposit made for stucco repair. In late May, early June, after repeated calls, [redacted] sent a worker to make repairs to exposed areas around the dormers where carved molding had been ripped off, to replace wooden shakes that had been damaged and to cut off nails protruding from areas around the roof's periphery. The gentleman started, promised but failed to return and complete the work. The last time I actually spoke to [redacted] the contractor, I expressed my concern about the potential for the problems to cause structural damage Specifically, chimney caps included in the contract have not been installed; the front gutter, which was supposed to be installed with a new fascia board. but wasn't isn't performing properly and water appears to be crawling into the home as evidenced by cracks spreading down interior walls; the sealing around the chimneys is incomplete; in the rear of the house, the gutters are neither seamed properly or aligned--in one corner, e.g. there's a gap between the gutter and the structure where water not only creeps into the house, but also pours down onto the basement door and foundation.

RE the return of a portion of a deposit for stucco work, included in the last payment for the roofing job was an additional $2,000 to repair stucco in several. someone showed up, started but never completed the work, after I informed [redacted] that the method of repair was not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to immediately address and rectify the deficiencies listed above ASAP in order to avoid further damage to the home. I also would like a copy of the roofing shingle warranty, which was promised but never provided. I also seek a partial return of the deposit for incomplete stucco work

[redacted] roof originally had cedar shakes. The first day my workers and I removed all existing shingles and replaced the shakes with /8 plywood and [redacted] Lifetime shingles. I told [redacted] that [redacted] was the best quality and was a lifetime lasting material. While doing this work, she was constantly comparing my work to what she had read on the internet. She was also had complaints about nails showing, but she had no soffit covering so the nails have to show. I could not get [redacted] to trust in my work although she had consciously made the decision to do business with me and my company. This was a 2 day job and it was 100% completed within those two days.[redacted] roof was installed correctly and has no leaks. The foundation of her home had cracks in several areas, so I skim coated it. The gutter was fine but the facial board was rotted so I replaced it and reattached the gutter. Once again [redacted] was telling me that I was doing my job wrong because she read on the internet that it was supposed to be done differently. I believe that she may have had a trust issue and believed that she knew how to do this work based off some website she found. I 100% completed the roof, facial board, gutters, and foundation of [redacted] home.

H[redacted] did a great job on my house and everything was complete in the time frame he gave me. He remodeled the entire first floor of my house including the kitchen and bathroom. I now have an open floor plan. Im very happy with the work H[redacted] and his workers did at my house and the experience was very pleasant from the initial phone call to the finished project. Review: On August 11, 2010, we drew up a contract with [redacted]. from Word of Mouth Construction at [redacted] (WOMC) to perform a Home Improvement project. We paid monies for these services and items listed in our contract(s) which WOMC has not adhered to our contractual agreements. We have copies of all of the contracts, receipts and correspondence between us and his company. We conducted a license search on the Division of Consumer Affairs website (http://www.njconsumeraffairs.gov/LVinfo.htm) and [redacted]. nor did WOMC records were listed in the website database. We called the Division of Consumer affairs phone number for verification and received the same results.

Because of uncompleted work we had to incur additional expenses. Work that hasn’t started: Heating on the 1st floor and basement. Cooling units on the 1st floor, Second floor and Basement.

Installation of new Water Heater. Shower door on the first floor Rails on the Second floor steps The electrical wiring for the living room. Work started but wasn’t complete :Insulation in the attic not completed, Flooring leading to the outside yard is not completed. Damages First Floor - Bathroom Floor not leveled. Window installed in the back porch still leaks. Flooring on the first floor is not leveled. Second Floor: Second Floor master bedroom flooring is not secure and it rises, Entire second floor flooring is not leveled, Light Fixtures in the Second floor Bathroom is missing parts Second Floor railing is not leveled and not installed properly. During the winter months, our Gas and Electric have increased. We’ve had to use portable heaters and our gas fireplace to heat the 1st floor. In the summer months, our Electricity bill increases because we have to use Air Conditioners to cool the rooms. Our average electricity bill is $130. Because of uncompleted work – our bill is now averaging over $350 monthly. Our average gas bill is $30.Desired Settlement: We want our money for work not performed refunded or complete the remaining work listed in the contracts and repair all damages as per warranty agreement.

Id like to start off saying that [redacted] has had two contractors working on her house prior to her contacting me to do work on her home. Both of these contractors started work on her home, but were unable to finish due to [redacted] financial problems. She took both of these contractors to court because they didn't finish this project, but they didn't finish because of her lack of funds. Unfortunately, I did not acquire this knowledge until after I decided to do business With her.| first met with [redacted] in August 2011 and we discussed that the project would be to complete the halfway built second floor addition of her home. On August 11, 2011 I wrote up a contract that we both agreed upon and signed. The contract was a Contract of Completion" since the two previous contractors had already started but had not finished. My job was to remove debris from contractors' unfinished work and then complete the master bedroom, master bathroom, install plumbing pipes, install 200 sheets of sheetrock, new electrical panels, and paint the entire 2floor addition. [redacted] was very pleased with the work that was being done and asked if we could do additional installments that werent in the contract, as a favor, and I agreed. I did that work which included renovating steps that lead to new addition, kitchen flooring and ceiling, painting kitchen and dining room, rewiring the dining room and living room (they had no electrical in those rooms), siding and porch rehab, installment of bay window in rear of home, and lamenting the 2floor addition. These second additions were part of the project that the last contractors did not finish. She then wanted me to install the heating system and at that point she couldn't pay me for the heating system installment nor the extra additions, but I still completed the heating system because the previous contractors had already started the installment and my company just connected the ducts. According to the contract, I did do everything that was part of my job (and more) and she was able to now live in a warm and comfortable home.

I had a wonderful experience with Word of Mouth construction. I hire the company to remodel my kitchen and bathroom. He and his workers was very professional and prompt. [redacted] also did all the design and layout of my beautiful kitchen and bath. My project was done in the expected time frame. I'm very please with the out come of my remodel I get compliments all the time. I also referred my sister and friends to Word of Mouth.
