Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The company's spokesman replied on another platform to which I have not seen, but I will go there since he stated he invited me to call him or asked for my contact information.  I will provide that.  In the instant case here I rebut his questioning of two different "style" parts under the same part number.  His employees brought out the alternator that I was to purchase until they saw I had the original alternator sold to me in June and they compared their own part number from the one I brought in to the one brought from the back of their shop.  Not one representative told me the same part number was on two different parts, TWO EMPLOYEES SUPPORTING ONE ANOTHER'S ASSERTIONS TOLD US BOTH THE SAME story.  They checked the fittings to say that the parts were for my vehicle for that reason and they both showed me that the identical part number from BOTH PARTS were on BOTH PARTS.  They wanted to do the refund for that reason but said they needed a receipt to enter into their computer.  I had not recorded this conversation, but when I return to the store I'll get them on recording telling me it again.  The one employee bristled at me stating he recalled me in the store buying lots of other parts: oil change supplies, wipers, and brake pads.  I can get him to repeat what he told me.  In fact, this warrants an attorney general investigation because my car nearly caught fire using that junk alternator.  That's where I am headed next.  I'll bet others have complained about their cheap parts being sold right next to the appropriate standard part.  They choose who to sell that part to.  My father did not manufacture a lie.  He gave me the receipt that I read and it had Wold Auto on it the cost and part name.  He told me to keep it and I did not-or, cannot find it.  NOW HE REALIZES since a big deal was made about the core for the replacement alternator that looks exactly like the [redacted] and none was ever asked of the cheap deadly alternator, that he had been had by WORLD AUTO PARTS.  And, the price for the junk alternator was exactly the same for the standard aftermarket part.  I rest assured that World Auto will be found out...World Auto will fall due to it's employees practices.  I'm sure bigger companies like ** thought they were too slick and too sly also to be brought down, but it happened.  So, I will make my complaints here with no receipt and I will alert our attorney general and just wait.  We can't be the only family with or without a receipt to have had this experience with World Auto.  Sadly, they do enough volume business to keep junk aftermarket parts out of their inventory.  It is greed that is allowing World Auto to sell such dangerour products to the public putting the lives of children (I have a 7 year old) and elderly (my father's face it the one they saw and sold him an alternator not asking for even a core).  I'll wait.  I'll wait for your company to reap what it sows.  I have a new alternator of course, and it was installed by a company who said they'd been in business 30 years and knew your company sold dangerous parts, specifically, alternators.  Keep it up, someone's loved ones blood will be on your hands and you'll be sitting in court looking at criminial charges just that the big companies who do what you are doing.

Aaron C[redacted] <[email protected]>2:20 PM to me [redacted]    Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this complaint. Let me begin with the different "style" alternator claim. We only sell one brand of alternators (Quality Built by [redacted]) and we have only carried one...

brand for over 5 years. So where the claim of two different alternators for one part number comes from I don't understand. Every alternator we sell has a core charge so if her or her father bought one without a core charge it did not come from World Auto. Every alternator we sell comes with a one year free roadside assistance program and a lifetime warranty (with receipt). Which brings me to her second complaint of refusing to honor the warranty. In every World Auto Parts store hangs a large sign that reads "All returns must be accompanied by a receipt". The main reason for this is in the auto parts business many manufacturers package their products in several different boxes. So you could bring me an alternator from [redacted] for example and place it next to mine and it will look exactly the same. So to ensure we are refunding a product purchased from World Auto Parts we require a receipt. Before receiving this detailed complaint she had posted a negative review on Google and I had responded for her to contact me for assistance. She has not done so.    So in closing due to the fact she was never charged a core charge on the initial purchase I doubt  her father purchased the original from World Auto Parts. If she were to find a receipt for the purchase in June I would gladly refund her money or exchange the defective part. If you have any questions please feel free to call me.
