Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
I have stated in many e-mails sent directly to World Class, in my meetings with them, and in my responses via the Revdex.com that all the items that need to be fixed that were caused at the time of installation by World Class as per the inspection report need to be addressed and need to be addressed immediately. I have not heard from World Class; they have not called me or e-mailed me to schedule the appointment to have this completed. My roof is under warranty, they are the roofing company that caused the problems; they should have been out to my home immediately to fix the issues. I will send them an e-mail to schedule the appointment, since they never contacted me to do this, which is their job to do so. The issue with the low pitch roof is not just due to the skylight issue as per the inspection report. As I stated previously, I am having the skylights replaced, and I do not expect World Class to be responsible for the skylights. The repairs to the roof need to be completed before the new skylights are installed. However, they were supposed to have fixed the flashing around the skylights and they didn't; they used existing flashing to do this, and the inspection report states there was debris, etcin the flashing. What I do expect is for them to honor their warranty that covers the entire roof, and clearly the inspection report states that "the back elevation showed several nail pops. These nail pops were causing interior leaking right now but will need to be addressed at some point". The inspection report also states that the shingles are not laying flat and flush, including around the skylightsThis combined with the low pitch roof is allowing wind driven rain to access the shingles and back in behind them to the interior. This is a completely separate issue and a completely separate way that water is getting into the interior. World Class installed the roof. And, because World Class should have never installed two layers of roof on the low pitch roof to begin with, never informed us about ANY potential issues or leaks that can be caused by installing layers on the low slope roof, as a matter of fact, they said it was perfectly fine to do so, current leaks can be coming from other places besides the skylights and the flashing, and as per the inspection report, other problems caused by installation are also contributing to the leaks. World Class never offered to help in any way with the leak issue, nor did they offer to perform a water test to pinpoint exactly where the leaks are coming from. Is World Class willing to incur the cost of having an independent roofer perform a water test to pinpoint where the leaks are coming from? World Class knows very well that this needs to be done. Because of the lack of cooperation from World Class, because they will not honor their warranty, because they will not do what needs to be done to stop ALL the leaks, because of their faulty and incorrect installation of my roof, I have water coming into my home and will continue to come into my home. World Class has not done one thing to correct or stop this, and I have years remaining on my warranty. They are the roofers that installed my roof, my roof is under warranty, they need to determine where the leaks are coming from. And, I provided the inspection report to them as a courtesy and they are not acknowledging what the entire report states; they did nothing to help determine where the leaks are coming from, and the inspection report is not a full report regarding the leaks. Instead, they are using a portion of the report regarding the skylights to try to not honor their warranty. I didn't have to give them a copy of this report, but I did, to be fair, honest, and open, and World Class has been anything but fair, honest, and open and refuses to honor the warranty. World Class knows very well that the inspector was not sent to my home by my insurance company to determine where the leaks are coming from; they were sent to my home to determine if there was any storm damage to the roof that was causing the leaks, and there was no storm damage. Again, they did not inspect where all the leaks were coming from, they were there to inspect for storm damage, and noted what was obvious. Now, I have to incur the cost of having a water test performed to determine where all the leaks are coming from. I should not have to incur this cost, World Class should be incurring this cost, and the cost to replace the entire roof if that is what is needed. I will wait for an answer from World Class if they are going to pay for the cost of having an independent water test performed; we will see how much they are willing to solve this issue once and for all.*** ***

I am rejecting this response because:I have repeatedly told World Class I did not expect them to replace or repair the skylights I have also told them many times and as per my last email to them I need and expect them to repair the damages as listed in the independent report I have not heard back from World Class of when they are going to repair those issues I gave World Class the independent report to prove to them that there are other issues with leaks and potential leaks not associated with the skylights I had no obligation to do this and they are not correctly stating what the report says Among the damages caused at installation by World Class along various sections of roof over my entire house the report clearly states that due to the pitch of the roof and the layers it is causing the roof to not lay flat and flush and the water was backing up behind the shingles and then getting into flashing and this combined with low pitch of roof is allowing wind driven rain to access shingles and back in behind them to the interior Shingles not flashing The report does not state in any way that there is no issue with the roof the report states that there are issues with the roof When World Class met with us to install the roof they did not explain and recommend that the roof be removed In fact they said it was fine to do so and many people choose that option Again it was up to them to not roof over or refuse to do so specifically with the low pitch portion of roof They are making excuse after excuse including blaming myself and my husband for as they put it trying to keep costs down Again these problems are now costing a lot more money that World Class refuses to honor the warranty for that all could have been avoided if they installed the roof the way it should have beenTheir accusal of me trying to keep costs down at time of installation is an excuse for them that they didn't recommend to do it the correct way, they never made any mention at all that the roof was low pitch and should not be roofed over, and as stated previously I had no idea at that time what a low pitch roof was, World Class should have known that and what needed to be done, and it is their excuse to not honor the warrantyThe date was an estimate of when the skylights first leaked and World Class was supposed to have repaired them correctly then; is not the first time it was reported and MrV knows perfectly well that the report was just generated by my insurance company I did not know about all the problems caused by World Class until very recently It is a lie that I didn't inform World Class about a leak until and a lie stated by them that I let the roof leak for years Again I was just made aware of all the other issues with the roof and MrV knows this And the repair of the skylights flashing is included in their warranty I have the warranty it does not exclude the repairs to the skylights the warranty is years on labor no where in the warranty does it exclude the skylight repair
World Class refuses to honor their warranty, and refuses to install the roof the way it should be even under warranty They also refuse to honor the remaining time left I have on the warranty if I get another roofer to replace the skylights and install a new roof the correct way As I stated many times I don't expect World Class to pick up the cost to replace skylights What I do expect is for them to honor their warranty and reimburse me to have the roof installed correctly as I need a qualified roofer to install the roof correctly this time just as in I expected World Class to do and to be the expert in what should have been done when they installed the roof Also World Class is now not correctly stating what the report says when I gave them the report because it proves they are responsible for some of the issues with the leaks and now they are twisting what the report actually says I have no problem providing the Revdex.com with a copy of the report.,

I am rejecting this response because:I have all the e-mails and documentations of discussions. I have told World Class numerous times via e-mail, face to face meetings, and via the B.B.Bthat they need to contact me to resolve all of the issues as stated in the inspection report and that I needed to have those items fixed. This, however, does not address the faulty installation of the low pitch roof, which World Class continues to ignore and not take any responsibility for

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:World Class was at my home on 3/30/16 to supposedly fix the mechanical damages, etcthat were caused at the time of their installation. This does not fix the problems of the roof leaking in any way, shape, or form. The entire roof is under warranty, and World Class only came out to my home to fix all the damages caused at installation; they have yet to replace the roof that needs to be replaced due to improper installation, and installation that does not adhere to GAF standards, instructions, procedures, and protocols for the low pitch roof. They refuse to do anything about the roof leaking. They refuse to reimburse me to have that section of roof replaced, minus the skylights, which is more than fair. The roof continues to leak and now leaks even more, leaks are showing up in areas that have nothing to do with the skylights causing even more damage to my home. My insurance adjuster stated that it is possible that the roof can be leaking from other areas besides the skylights, and the roof is leaking from other areas besides the skylights. I have shared this with World Class and yet they still refuse to acknowledge all the problems with the roof, and still refuse to honor their warranty. The roof is leaking, and will continue to leak now, a day from now, or a year from now in other areas besides the skylights. I have met with Mary from World Class when she was at my home on 3/30/16, and I explained the entire situation to her yet again, and asked her to take a look at the leaks and damage to my home; she refused to look. That entire roof needs to be replaced now. I hired a roofer and had to pay him to inspect the roof, take pictures, and they will provide me with a written report. I was present at the time of the inspection, and water is getting in under the shingles in many areas of that roof including not near the skylights, water is sitting and is being retained under the shingles, shingles are coming apart (can be lifted up with your hand), some shingles are cut, there are still rusted nails on the roof, the entire roof over the entire home was not nailed down correctly, etc. I saw all this myself, have seen it before, and have explained this to World Class many times. This is even more disturbing as World Class was supposed to fix these issues on 3/31/16. I asked World Class to perform a water test, which they refused multiple times to do at first, and then they agreed. However, as per the roofer that I hired to do an inspection, among many other roofers and the restoration company, at this point, the water test will not mean anything as that roof will continue to leak for it's lifetime because it was not installed properly and it is not installed per GAF instructions for the low pitch roof regardless of the skylights. I am asking World Class to reimburse me to replace that entire section of roof, minus the cost of the skylights, and to pay for the damage caused to the inside of my home (insurance deductible) and reimburse me for the roof inspector. As World Class continues to ignore all my requests, continues to ignore all the information and proof that I provided to them that the roof needs to be replaced, if they will not come to some type of fair reimbursement I will have no choice but to take them to court. This has been going on since December, and my home is being destroyed because of their refusals to honor their warranty and have that roof replaced and stop the leaks

In response to the complaint made against my company, please be advised that I have repeatedly tried to work with Ms*** regarding the issues she's having with her skylights, which in turn is causing her problems with her roof.? There is no warranty on her skylights since World Class DID NOT
install them.? Ms*** does have a warranty with us on her roof and we have told her both verbally and in writing that we are ready, willing and able to address the warranty issues.? Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for a leak coming from a skylight issue that we did not install. The independent report Ms*** references in her complaint clearly states that the there is no issue with the installation of the roof.? We have had it reviewed specifically for that reason. When we originally met with Mr*** regarding the roof, it was clearly explained and recommended that the roof be torn off and a new one installed.? At that time, Mrand Mrs*** decided that they preferred to keep costs down and just have a second layer put on.? We also repaired the flashing on the skylight at the same time .? It was just that, a repair.? There was no new material used so no warranty existed on the skylight repair.? This was done in 2012, before Superstorm Sandy, before the next years of rain, wind, storms, etc? Ms*** goes on to state in her complaint that problems started in but she failed to report it to us until 2016.? So for years she continued to let something leak without contacting anybody?I have many emails and documentation supporting the fact that we have no problem addressing the issues relating to the roof warranty such as shingle replacement, nail pops, etc.? Please also note that in the independent report Ms*** references, it clearly states there are no leaks coming from the issues relative to the roof warranty. We are happy to take care of the warranty issues stated in my last email to Ms***? Thank you for your time.Michael V, PresidentWorld Class

I am rejecting this response because:I have repeatedly told World Class I did not expect them to replace or repair the skylights? I have also told them many times and as per my last email to them I need and expect them to repair the damages as listed in the independent report? I have not heard back from World Class of when they are going to repair those issues? I gave World Class the independent report to prove to them that there are other issues with leaks and potential leaks not associated with the skylights? I had no obligation to do this and they are not correctly stating what the report says? Among the damages caused at installation by World Class along various sections of roof over my entire house the report clearly states that due to the pitch of the roof and the layers it is causing the roof to not lay flat and flush and the water was backing up behind the shingles and then getting into flashing and this combined with low pitch of roof is allowing wind driven rain to access shingles and back in behind them to the interior? Shingles not flashing? The report does not state in any way that there is no issue with the roof the report states that there are issues with the roof? When World Class met with us to install the roof they did not explain and recommend that the roof be removed? In fact they said it was fine to do so and many people choose that option? Again it was up to them to not roof over or refuse to do so specifically with the low pitch portion of roof? They are making excuse after excuse including blaming myself and my husband for as they put it trying to keep costs down? Again these problems are now costing a lot more money that World Class refuses to honor the warranty for that all could have been avoided if they installed the roof the way it should have beenTheir accusal of me trying to keep costs down at time of installation is an excuse for them that they didn't recommend to do it the correct way, they ? never made any mention at all that the roof was low pitch and should not be roofed over, and as stated previously I had no idea at that time what a low pitch roof was, World Class should have known that and what needed to be done, and it is their excuse to not honor the warrantyThe date was an estimate of when ? the skylights first leaked and World Class was supposed to have repaired them correctly then; is not the first time it was reported and MrV knows perfectly well that the report was just generated by my insurance company ? I did not know about all the problems caused by World Class until very recently? It is a lie that I didn't inform World Class about a leak until and a lie stated by them that I let the roof leak for years? Again I was just made aware of all the other issues with the roof and MrV knows this? And the repair of the skylights flashing is included in their warranty I have the warranty it does not exclude the repairs to the skylights the warranty is years on labor no where in the warranty does it exclude the skylight repair?
World Class refuses to honor their warranty, and refuses to install the roof the way it should be even under warranty? They also refuse to honor the remaining time left I have on the warranty if I get another roofer to replace the skylights and install a new roof the correct way? As I stated many times I don't expect World Class to pick up the cost to replace skylights? What I do expect is for them to honor their warranty and reimburse me to have the roof installed correctly as I need a qualified roofer to install the roof correctly this time just as in I expected World Class to do and to be the expert in what should have been done when they installed the roof? Also World Class is now not correctly stating what the report says when I gave them the report because it proves they are responsible for some of the issues with the leaks and now they are twisting what the report actually says? I have no problem providing the Revdex.com with a copy of the report.,

I have repeatedly told World Class I did not expect them to replace or repair the skylights.  I have also told them many times and as per my last email to them I need and expect them to repair the damages as listed in the independent report.  I have not heard back from World Class of when they are going to repair those issues.  I gave World Class the independent report to prove to them that there are other issues with leaks and potential leaks not associated with the skylights.  I had no obligation to do this and they are not correctly stating what the report says.  Among the damages caused at installation by World Class along various sections of roof over my entire house the report clearly states that due to the pitch of the roof and the 2 layers it is causing the roof to not lay flat and flush and the water was backing up behind the shingles and then getting into flashing and this combined with low pitch of roof is allowing wind driven rain to access shingles and back in behind them to the interior.  Shingles not flashing.  The report does not state in any way that there is no issue with the roof the report states that there are issues with the roof.  When World Class met with us to install the roof they did not explain and recommend that the roof be removed.  In fact they said it was fine to do so and many people choose that option.  Again it was up to them to not roof over or refuse to do so specifically with the low pitch portion of roof.  They are making excuse after excuse including blaming myself and my husband for as they put it trying to keep costs down.  Again these problems are now costing a lot more money that World Class refuses to honor the warranty for that all could have been avoided if they installed the roof the way it should have been. Their accusal of me trying to keep costs down at time of installation is an excuse for them that they didn't recommend to do it the correct way, they  never made any mention at all that the roof was low pitch and should not be roofed over, and as stated previously I had no idea at that time what a low pitch roof was, World Class should have known that and what needed to be done, and it is their excuse to not honor the warranty. The 2013 date was an estimate of when  the skylights first leaked and World Class was supposed to have repaired them correctly then; 2016 is not the first time it was reported and Mr. V knows perfectly well that the report was just generated by my insurance company  I did not know about all the problems caused by World Class until very recently.  It is a lie that I didn't inform World Class about a leak until 2016 and a lie stated by them that I let the roof leak for 3 years.  Again I was just made aware of all the other issues with the roof and Mr. V knows this.  And the repair of the skylights flashing is included in their warranty I have the warranty it does not exclude the repairs to the skylights the warranty is 10 years on labor no where in the warranty does it exclude the skylight repair.
World Class refuses to honor their warranty, and refuses to install the roof the way it should be even under warranty.  They also refuse to honor the remaining time left I have on the warranty if I get another roofer to replace the skylights and install a new roof the correct way.  As I stated many times I don't expect World Class to pick up the cost to replace skylights.  What I do expect is for them to honor their warranty and reimburse me to have the roof installed correctly as I need a qualified roofer to install the roof correctly this time just as in 2012 I expected World Class to do and to be the expert in what should have been done when they installed the roof.  Also World Class is now not correctly stating what the report says when I gave them the report because it proves they are responsible for some of the issues with the leaks and now they are twisting what the report actually says.  I have no problem providing the Revdex.com with a copy of the report.,

In response to the complaint made against my company, please be advised that I have repeatedly tried to work with Ms. [redacted] regarding the issues she's having with her skylights, which in turn is causing her problems with her...

roof.  There is no warranty on her skylights since World Class DID NOT install them. Ms. [redacted] does have a warranty with us on her roof and we have told her both verbally and in writing that we are ready, willing and able to address the warranty issues.  Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for a leak coming from a skylight issue that we did not install. The independent report Ms. [redacted] references in her complaint clearly states that the there is no issue with the installation of the roof.  We have had it reviewed specifically for that reason. When we originally met with Mr. [redacted] regarding the roof, it was clearly explained and recommended that the roof be torn off and a new one installed.  At that time, Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] decided that they preferred to keep costs down and just have a second layer put on.  We also repaired the flashing on the skylight at the same time .  It was just that, a repair.  There was no new material used so no warranty existed on the skylight repair.  This was done in 2012, before Superstorm Sandy, before the next 4 years of rain, wind, storms, etc.  Ms. [redacted] goes on to state in her complaint that problems started in 2013 but she failed to report it to us until 2016.  So for 3 years she continued to let something leak without contacting anybody?I have many emails and documentation supporting the fact that we have no problem addressing the issues relating to the roof warranty such as shingle replacement, nail pops, etc.  Please also note that in the independent report Ms. [redacted] references, it clearly states there are no leaks coming from the issues relative to the roof warranty. We are happy to take care of the warranty issues stated in my last email to Ms. [redacted].
Thank you for your time.Michael V, PresidentWorld Class

As we stated in our earlier responses, we reached out to Ms. [redacted] via email and advised that we are willing and able to do the repairs (related to the warranty) as stated on the inspection report.  Again, the issue with the low pitched roof is due to the skylights.  We did not install any skylights so no warranty exists with our company.Ms. [redacted] continues to reject our responses pertaining to completing the repairs covered under the warranty.  We are waiting on Ms. [redacted] to advise if she would like us to come and address the warranty work.   Thank you.

We scheduled to go to the home on 3/28/16 and address warranty issues.
