World Wide RV Reviews (25)

I have bought two travel trailers from Wide World The first was a hybrid We had such a great experience with this family establishment, that a few years later, we came back when we wanted to upgrade Trading in and buying were easy and the ladies treat you like family We have our RV maintained, winterized, and serviced when needed and never had a problemWe highly recommend Wide World RV to others! We only wish they sold Class C motorhomes as one day we'd like to upgrade again

The statement is correctThe driver of the vehicle [redacted] has no connection to World Wide RV outside being a friend of our Employee [redacted] The main thing here is that this was an accident, and the Trailer is being repaired by [redacted] insuranceIt is unfortunate that the accident happened and it is in the hands of the insurance company Thank You, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The statement, "At the end of February, Mrs [redacted] enlisted the services of an individual not associated with World Wide RV to transport her fifth wheel to Williston, ND." is not accurate as I hired [redacted] s, an employee with World Wide RV, to transport the 5th wheelDue to his inability to accurately read his own schedule, he overbooked himself but assured me that his "partner" would be availableUnbeknownst to me this "partner" was not another employee of World Wide RV, so any proper licensing, insurance, taxation, or other liabilities were then released from World Wide RV without my known consentBy the time the scheduled delivery date had come, I had no time to hire another driver with a reputable company so trusted the advice of the employee I hiredIt was only because of the accident that I discovered this unfortunate deceptionIf in fact [redacted] s had been the driver, as intended, and this accident occurred, World Wide RV would not be ignoring this issue so easilyOr perhaps this is just acceptable practice for their employees to deceive and fraud their customers at the last moment Regards, [redacted] ***

[redacted] purchased a Forest River Columbus Fifth Wheel from World Wide RV on December 31, Mrs [redacted] made her required down payment and her financing went through World Wide RV agreed to store the unit for Mrs [redacted] until the end of February The unit is titled in Arizona and encumbered by a major financing sourceAt the end of February, Mrs [redacted] enlisted the services of an individual not associated with World Wide RV to transport her fifth wheel to Williston, ND Somewhere in Wyoming, the fifth wheel was involved in an accident Please see item number on the reverse of our Retail Buyers Order, under Additional Terms and Conditions that states “Dealer shall not be liable for delays caused by manufacture, accident, strikes, fires or any other cause beyond his control” Thank you [redacted]

On April 8, I took a new fifth wheel in for service after only owning this unit for a little over daysWe made a list of all issues that were found on a trip lasting daysAfter days in World Wide Service DeptI had to contact them to get an update and at this time they had not even looked at my RVAs time went on I had to contact them weekly to get up dates as of today June 3, I still do not have my RV fixed and I still have to contact them to get up dateThere were several parts that WW RV had to order from Jayco but they did not order all required parts in one order, several additional orders were placed causing long term delaysWorld Wide RV shows no concern for the customer and tells me that is the way it goesAfter days I have continued making payments on an RV I can not use and Word Wide RV does not careI was told by World Wide RV that I could take my RV and use it until all orders were received but there were issues that I was concerned withI believe that these issues would only cause further damage to RV by using it

We are extremely dissatisfied with our purchase of the new Jayco Alante motorhome and with their dealer in ***, AZ, World Wide RV There are a massive number of defects Our hope was that Jayco would stand behind their good name and make this right I mailed a letter on May 6, 2016, including documentation of all the defects and sent it to Jayco I hand delivered the letter to WW RV, We requested a payoff of our loan, plus our $down payment, plus accrued interest, plus the pre-payoff penalty, and expenses we have incurred I attached categorized lists of a timeline, the problems with WW RV, expenses to be reimbursed to us; plus, electrical, interior and exterior problems Many of the items on the lists are items I found and fixed myself because we did not have confidence that the dealership would do a timely or thorough job We had been assured WWRV's finance person, would shop around for the best interest rate Our credit score was so we expected less than the 5.50% he offered I am attaching a letter from the Bank of the West dated 3/12/16, voluntarily lowered the interest rate to 5.25% because of our excellent credit score How hard did he shop? I attached a letter received in April from WW RV, neither dated nor signed, that repeatedly refers to our JAYCO Alante as a WINNEBAGO Elante A second letter arrived in June, again neither dated nor signed In this letter they referred to the correct motorhome, but the contents of the letter regarding their service department should not have been sent to us given the ongoing problems These are form letters, of course, but really??? When we arrived to do the walk-through and sign loan papers on the motorhome, the service person who did the walk through was very unprofessional Examples follow: when we mentioned the gaskets around the exterior storage doors being torn or too short, he told us they all do that and the service department would order in a roll of gasket material to fix it at a later time (This has still not been done) We also questioned the wiring for the living room slide coming out from under the couch His answer was, “just the way they are.” He pushed them under the couch with his foot The major concern is one of safety There were MANY malfunctions electrically, and we even saw sparking Two fuse panel covers were lying on the floor, inside up They were covered with dust so there must have been an electrical problem -- obviously was not addressed I received no response at all from Jayco I also completed an online survey (ID # ***), but received no response A short time later I received another survey in the mail Is anyone listening? July 27, 2016, I wrote a letter directly to Jayco executives by registered mail to add many more problems we encountered with the motorhome This list of defects explained our mounting frustration and dissatisfaction -- and the basis of our request for buy-back and reimbursement of expenses There are a profuse number of defects that we listed in this letter and its attachmentsAs one example of many, many complaints -- a I found a DEAD BIRD in the motorhome! We have purchased one new camper and three motorhomes (THREE new) over the course of our marriage and have never had any major problems This is completely unacceptable Normally we would have returned a purchase with this many problemsWe have not, because we purchased and took delivery March 4th to assure we could go to my wife's mother's 90th Birthday Reunion in Oregon the end of March Because 2½ weeks after delivery the motorhome was still not ready, we were forced to purchase airline tickets and a rental car at the last minute This was a large unplanned expense AND extremely difficult both physically & emotionally difficult for my wife Another reason for the timing of the purchase was to go to Florida the beginning of May We made the trip to see our uncle who is extremely ill and an Aunt who will be July We knew it could be the last time we saw either of them Our Aunt passed one week after our visit with her My wife's Uncle is a Medal of Honor recipient, spent six years in the Hanoi Hilton as a POW during the Vietnam war, and is a man of many accomplishments & honors He is extremely important to us, as was a possible last visit My wife has transverse myelitis, a very rare neurological disorder At this point, the only feasible way for her to travel is in an RV We don’t know how long her neurological illness will allow her TO travel My wife was not at all well the day we took delivery, so we very unwisely quickly went thru the signing of loan papers and the inadequate walk-through Jayco will not stand behind their product -- do NOT buy Jayco

First, the unit was scheduled to be picked up at the factory at 2:00, not 3:00pmSecond, the unit was not delivered until 1:00pm, not 10:00am10:00am was when my husband was supposed to be able to pick it up, after the fiasco of the first dayUnfortunately, he then had to spend another stressful hours waiting for the bank to actually confirm the payment
The manufacturer says they told the dealer they wanted to receive a check for the trailer, which would have made the holiday and the next day's three hour delay a non-issueThe communication between the manufacturer and the dealer is the dealer's job, seeing to it the trailer was indeed ready and available to be picked up - including proper disbursement of funds - was the dealer's job, and it wasn't done, resulting in two people being stuck miles from homePaying for two of their three meals and their hotel room does not seem adequateAnd, by the way, we have yet to receive the TITLE to our vehicle, which has now been paid in full for over a month

We were in *** helping our daughter and son-in-law along with their two children look for a camper to replace the aging unit they were living in while serving in *** as missionaries for *** *** ***We were shown a suitable camper with an asking price of $but they would be able to reduce the price by $It fit their needs but the price made it difficult for their limited income and our internet searches found some better prices but farther awayOur son-in-law made an offer over the phone but overheard the salesman's conversation when the salesman made a mistake while putting the phone on holdThe salesman told another person in World Wide RV that "I'm going to *** ring his neck if he thinks he can buy that camper for that price"These are the words that were heardThe salesman then came back on the phone and told our son-in-law the price was now $37458, not the $previously offered because a new tax has come inWorld Wide RV has the trailer on their website today, March 2nd 2015, with the Retail Price of $stroked out and the Sale Price of $also stroked out which seems to indicate they were willing to listen to prices below the $Stock #***After hearing their conversation and seeing the discrepancy of their pricing we don not believe there is a new tax being applied and these are just unscrupulous ways of doing business

The customer is in possession of their unit at this time. The unit was scheduled to be picked up at the factory on Monday October 13th at 3:pm The unit was not actually delivered to the customer Until Tuesday October at 10:AMThe delay was due to the factory not being able to
verify funds, Monday October 13th was Columbus Day a bank holidayDue to the inconvenience we have offered to pay for a night in a hotel room, dinner and breakfast. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. Thx

[redacted] purchased a 2014 Forest River Columbus Fifth Wheel from World Wide RV on December 31, 2013. Mrs. [redacted] made her required down payment and her financing went through.  World Wide RV agreed to store the unit for Mrs. [redacted] until the end of February.  The unit is titled...

in Arizona and encumbered by a major financing source. At the end of February, Mrs. [redacted] enlisted the services of an individual not associated with World Wide RV to transport her fifth wheel to Williston, ND.  Somewhere in Wyoming, the fifth wheel was involved in an accident.  Please see item number 7 on the reverse of our Retail Buyers Order, under Additional Terms and Conditions that states “Dealer shall not be liable for delays caused by manufacture, accident, strikes, fires or any other cause beyond his control”.

The statement, "At the end of
February, Mrs. [redacted] enlisted the services of an individual not associated with

not accurate as I hired [redacted]s, an employee with World Wide RV, to transport

We have purchased one new camper and three motorhomes (THREE new) over the course of our marriage and have never had any major problems. This is completely unacceptable. Normally we would have returned a purchase with this many problems. We have not, because we purchased and took delivery March 4th to assure we could go to my wife's mother's 90th Birthday Reunion in Oregon the end of March. Because 2½ weeks after delivery the motorhome was still not ready, we were forced to purchase airline tickets and a rental car at the last minute. This was a large unplanned expense AND extremely difficult both physically & emotionally difficult for my wife. Another reason for the timing of the purchase was to go to Florida the beginning of May. We made the trip to see our uncle who is extremely ill and an Aunt who will be 101 July 4. We knew it could be the last time we saw either of them. Our Aunt passed one week after our visit with her. My wife's Uncle is a Medal of Honor recipient, spent six years in the Hanoi Hilton as a POW during the Vietnam war, and is a man of many accomplishments & honors. He is extremely important to us, as was a possible last visit. My wife has transverse myelitis, a very rare neurological disorder. At this point, the only feasible way for her to travel is in an RV. We were in [redacted] helping our daughter and son-in-law along with their two children look for a camper to replace the aging unit they were living in while serving in [redacted] as missionaries for [redacted]. We were shown a suitable camper with an asking price of $39995 but they would be able to reduce the price by $4000. It fit their needs but the price made it difficult for their limited income and our internet searches found some better prices but farther away. Our son-in-law made an offer over the phone but overheard the salesman's conversation when the salesman made a mistake while putting the phone on hold. The salesman told another person in World Wide RV that "I'm going to [redacted] ring his neck if he thinks he can buy that camper for that price". These are the words that were heard. The salesman then came back on the phone and told our son-in-law the price was now $37458, not the $36000 previously offered because a new tax has come in. World Wide RV has the trailer on their website today, March 2nd 2015, with the Retail Price of $39995 stroked out and the Sale Price of $37458 also stroked out which seems to indicate they were willing to listen to prices below the $37458. Stock #[redacted]. After hearing their conversation and seeing the discrepancy of their pricing we don not believe there is a new tax being applied and these are just unscrupulous ways of doing business.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The statement, "At the end of

February, Mrs. [redacted] enlisted the services of an individual not associated with

World Wide RV to transport her fifth wheel to Williston, ND." is

not accurate as I hired [redacted]s, an employee with World Wide RV, to transport

the 5th wheel. Due to his inability to accurately read his own

schedule, he overbooked himself but assured me that his "partner"

would be available. Unbeknownst to me this "partner" was not another

employee of World Wide RV, so any proper licensing, insurance, taxation, or

other liabilities were then released from World Wide RV without my known

consent. By the time the scheduled delivery date had come, I had no time to

hire another driver with a reputable company so trusted the advice of the

employee I hired. It was only because of the accident that I discovered this unfortunate

deception. If in fact [redacted]s had been the driver, as intended, and this

accident occurred, World Wide RV would not be ignoring this issue so easily. Or

perhaps this is just acceptable practice for their employees to deceive and fraud

their customers at the last moment.

Regards,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

First, the unit was scheduled to be picked up at the factory at 2:00, not 3:00pm. Second, the unit was not delivered until 1:00pm, not 10:00am. 10:00am was when my husband was supposed to be able to pick it up, after the fiasco of the first day. Unfortunately, he then had to spend another stressful 3 hours waiting for the bank to actually confirm the payment.

The manufacturer says they told the dealer they wanted to receive a check for the trailer, which would have made the holiday and the next day's three hour delay a non-issue. The communication between the manufacturer and the dealer is the dealer's job, seeing to it the trailer was indeed ready and available to be picked up - including proper disbursement of funds - was the dealer's job, and it wasn't done, resulting in two people being stuck 1500 miles from home. Paying for two of their three meals and their hotel room does not seem adequate. And, by the way, we have yet to receive the TITLE to our vehicle, which has now been paid in full for over a month.
