review he posted on 3/3/18 expressing concern. I told him it was our mistake (either our system or human error, I am not clear) and that we would honor the $18 quoted price for the year for that particular service that he has the Mission Discount Plan and in addition, I sent him a $100 off VIP card that I advised him he could also use for future services. The discount normally would be taking that particular service to $85. Patient was quoted $18 instead. Patient did enroll in the Mission Discount Plan for one year. I followed up with a phone call to the patient today, 3/5/18 and reinforced that we would be honoring the $18 for the 3-4 times he would be coming to us for that particular service in the next year while he was covered under the Mission Dental Discount Plan. All other services would be at the regularly discounted pricing. I also emailed him that the price he was quoted of $18 for this service, albeit incorrect, would of course be honored. If he chooses to renew the Mission Discount Plan after this first year, I advised him he would be responsible for the actual price of $85 for this service after this first year and he agreed that was completely fair. To recap, I heard about the issue on Saturday 3/3/18, I was able to reach the patient on Sunday, 3/4/18 and offer resolution and commitment that I would gather information but that we would honor the price he was quoted and I followed up on 3/5 to close the gap that all issues are resolved and he would be getting the $18 price and he has an email to that effect. Patient agreed that we responded quickly and he is satisfied. It is unfortunate that it happened as we strive to excel at customer service and patient care, but sometimes there are glitches so I am glad we were able to resolve so quickly.
