Review: My friend and I heard about a trip promoted on the New York radio station WBLS. It was called “ Cancun Come Along “ We went on the radio’s website, filled out registration information, and were directed to the website of World Wide Group Travel. After much difficulty, we were registered and fully paid for the trip. We were told to provide our travel details so transfers to and from the airport could be arranged by this company. The date we registered was August * 2013.

Wbls had an entire itinerary of events planned, plus more entertainment to be announced.

Some time in September, I noticed I did not hear the announcement for the trip on the radio station anymore. As I live in Ct. I cannot get the station except on my home computer, so I listen VERY infrequently. I thought , maybe I am just missing it when I do sit down for the limited amount of listening time. Early October I decided to check the WBLS website to see if any other entertainment was posted, but could not locate the info on their website. I sent them an email on the October [redacted] questioning why I don’t see nor hear the trip advertised on air or their website. They did not respond to my email. I called the station on October [redacted], and was informed the trip had been cancelled. I was very upset, because clearly they have known since September the trip was cancelled, as they took it down of f the website and stopped advertising it. Which is the point they should have notified everyone who was registered and paid or was paying. No such professional conduct was made on their part. When I asked when they planned on notifying people, they stated…. “ Oh don’t worry, someone is going to contact you” When I pushed for further info, the person, said let me put you through to someone else. She sent me to a voicemail of the marketing director. For whom I left a voice mail, and have heard nothing back from to this date.

I then called World Wide Group Travel that same day, October * 2013. The woman who answered, stated. “ The trip isn’t cancelled, it’s postponed till May in Jamaica” Clearly this person is not schooled enough to know the difference between cancelled and postponed.

I then sent [redacted], [redacted]: several email’s stating the information I had found out on my own. Was very upset that neither she nor Wbls had any intention of contacting people, and I wanted answer’s about my money. When I informed [redacted] to refund my money immediately, she did not and has not responded to this date. She had promised an official email was forth coming that Friday, I have not received one as of this date.

I contacted my Credit Card company and filed a payment dispute. That does nothing to cover the airfare I paid for. Which cannot be changed, except by incurring additional fees on my part.Desired Settlement: I wish to have my credit card charge reversed, and the airfare refunded 300.00

Good morning [redacted],

WBLS radio station cancelled the "Cancun Come Along" due to lack of participation and security reason. An email was sent to all the clients that registered giving them 3 options to chose from. [redacted] disputed the charge with American Express and was given a full refund. We did advised [redacted] to send us copy of her change air fare fees and we have not received it yet. Attached to this email is a copy of the email that was sent to [redacted] and all the guests the registered for the "Cancun Come Along"

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

As I had stated previously. I DID NOT hear from ANYONE from WBLS nor WORLD WIDE TRAVEL. I had to initiate ALL contact and find out any and all information of my own accord. [redacted] is sorely mistaken or intentionally lying. Either way, it comes out the same. Poor professional conduct.

I did finally receive the email, after having to ask about it again. The email states... "I will be calling each and everyone one of you" I have yet to have been called. The response states I received a refund from American Express. I do not have an account nor card from / with American Express. I did dispute and have a refund form Visa.

As I stated. I do not and would not conduct business with this group of "folk"s for any reason,

I do not want to go to Cancun nor Jamaica and that is why I am requesting the money for my plane ticket that is of no use to me what so ever.

Sincerely,

[redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Receiving the $200.00 would certainly rectify my issues, as I would be able to use my ticket for some other travel with out having to incur the change fee. As I stated, I am not interested in going to Cancun or Jamaica. As this wholwe experience has left me with negative feeling. I will appreciate putting this behind me.

Good afternoon,

Review: I have made payments totalling $1,000.00 towards a trip to Cancun, Mexico being sponsored by WBLS Radio N.Y and their affiliate World Wide Group Travel. As of September *,2013 the trip has been cancelled. It is now a month later and I continue to get a run around , along with conflicting information on when I can expect my refund. The [redacted] @ WBLS has completely ignored all of my correspondence, I would like my refund in a timely manner in order to resolve this situation. I have been offered all sorts of alternative deals, but never a definative on when I can expect my refund.Desired Settlement: Refund-Cash

Review: Where do I start? We signed up for Worldwide Group Travel to handle hotel arrangements for us and our guests as well as wedding planning services. It was a disaster from the beginning and the nightmare still continues. One of the inclusions of the deal when we moved hotels was that we could receive 2 free hotel rooms for every 20 booked (I have this in writing). We have gotten nothing. Lisa said we would get it, she was looking into, it was the hotel, then it was the wholesaler, then we got silence. Not one return e-mail or text message, voicemail nothing. She also told us that due to the circumstances we were put through she was making no money on our wedding. (This is also in writing). When I didn't hear back from her I reached out to the wholesaler who told me they mailed her a check and they also sent my message to her. She told me I had no business asking how much money she got paid which I did not. You can imagine my confusion as she told me she was making NO MONEY, therefore when I was told a check was given to her I had no reason to believe it was for anything other than our room credit. I am giving it one last shot at resolving this amicably.Desired Settlement: Refund $2000

PS-Attached is one e-mail showing her promising to send a check and never doing so. Though we were really supposed to get a check for 2 rooms this e-mail shows her agreeing to send the check for at least one.

Review: I made payments, via PayPal, of $300.00 (Mar. *, 2013) and $590.00 (April **, 2013) for a Dominican Republic Wedding Destination Package at the [redacted] in [redacted] for N&A. The wedding was scheduled for Aug. **, 2013. Sometime shortly before the scheduled wedding date the couple canceled the wedding. Being that I paid for the package, in full, and air travel well in advance of the canceled wedding date my wife and I decided to continue with the trip. Upon arrival at the Santo Domingo airport the evening of Aug **, 2013 there were no car/van/shuttle to take us to the resort. After much haggling with the shady car service outside the airport, we arrived at the [redacted] in [redacted], and to our utmost surprise our names were not on the hotel registry! They had no reservation for me and my wife staying there. I had to pay out of pocket for the entire four day/three night stay at the all-inclusive resort at a cost of $236.00 daily. Lucky the resort had openings for us to stay. I called [redacted] at the Worldwide Group Travel LLC the next day to explain the situation. She said she will refund the $890.00 I paid to the Worldwide Group Travel LLC. As of this day (Nov. **, 2013) and five unanswered emails, I have not received my refund or any communication from Worldwide Group Travel LLC. In closing, I paid for a service that I didn't get, was told I was getting a refund and still have not received the refund or any communication about the situation.Desired Settlement: I desire to have a refund check of $890.00 immediately.
