Review: I was the Conservator for [redacted] who was a resident of one of [redacted]; Worthington Manor and am currently the Executor of his estate. An employee opened this individual's tax return check and deposited it without permission, or authorization. After the individual passed away they also refused to return the security deposit. The Complainant spoke with [redacted], President who stated that the money was owed. Yet the Complainant has correspondence with the [redacted],Financial Manger discussing how the funds according to State regulations should be disseminated. [redacted] did not even have the courteousness to respond.. They also charged for a month that the resident was not even residing at the facility, but was at a rehabilitation center in another location. [redacted], told complainant in essence too bad the money is owed and said nothing about the federal tax return. This method of conducting business with a vulnerable population is inexcusable. This may even be ramped amongst all the facilities and agencies they operate. These funds were specifically earmarked to pay for the balance of the resident's funeral. [redacted] high handed tactics should certainly not be tolerated especially due to the fact that they receive federal and state funds and in many cases deal with people who can not speak for themselves.Desired Settlement: Return of money from U.S. Federal tax return check and security deposit.
