Work Out World's business model is sign up quickly and make it hard to opt outI had a year contract with WOW and I knew the end of my contract was August I called and talked to Joe, their salesman, and he confirmed my contract end date with no discussion about what needs to be done to end the contractI also stopped by this spring to put my cancellation in writing and they said no one was there to take care of it and to come backToday I saw a charge on my credit card for September and I called and talked to Jeff He told me to put it in writing I told him I would drive over today After we went round and round he finally told me that I had to write a certified letter and send it to Waterford and it would take another days and I would be charged for October as well This is unacceptable They need to make it easier to opt out and they make a boatload of money off this technicality

I am rejecting this response because it is dishonestI am satisfied with them stopping deductions and closing the accounts but the record needs to show that the personnel at the facility have no idea how the cancellation process works and the address on the form they provide is for an organization in New Jersey that denies being able to do anything about the issueThere is no way to provide the documentation they request since the address to which it is sent sends a generic form saying they cannot deal with Connecticut membershipsThe website has been non-functional for contact for at least five months using any standard browserPersonnel on the phone are unable to help either

Left a message for member on 6/3/stating that her account will be cancelled and we will accept the $as paymentOnce this is paid the remainder of the balance will be adjusted and the account will be closed

The memberships in question were month minimum obligationsOur contract does have a relocation clause that will allow a member out of their commitment as long as proof of relocation which is more than miles from our facility is received via certified mailOur membership contract states
that all cancellations must be submitted via registered or certified mailWe will grant cancellations based on relocation if we receive a copy of a new driver license, a major utility bill, or a copy of a lease with the certified mailWe do not have any of these documents on fileThe memberships were still activeWe will go ahead and close these accounts based off the address that is associated with this Revdex.com document date 1/3/No further billings will apply

The buyout option is clearly written on Ms*** membership agreement which allows members who have more than months remaining on their membership to pay 50% of the remaining duesMs*** membership has less than months remaining therefore does not qualify for the buyoutThe agreement
was signed by her which indicates she read and understood the terms outlined

I never fill out complaints or negative reviews But in this case I make an exception I have been with WOW, now Renegade for months In the last two months they have sent me emails that my payment couldn't be processed and to call to resolve I called November 4th 2016, (days before the due date on the email) and I was told my card had expired...which it hadn't, the card on file has an expiration date of January They even verified the card number They said I wouldn't be charged the $fee and it would process right away Later that month I received a collections notice and a total fee of $ I called, was given another story about the expiration, same card, same expiration of 1/ So I gave a different card for a different bank with an exp date of 10/ Again, this month I receive an email that they couldn't process my payment and to call right away So I called today 12/5/and the girl couldn't even tell me why it wouldn't process it because she doesn't know what the code in the computer means I gave her a 3rd card, but honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this business doesn't process the payment or finds some other excuse to not process my payment so they can continue to charge me fees and send me to collections I also asked for the name and number of the President or CEO because this is ridiculous She said she would give my name and number to him and he would call me In other words, he wouldn't be getting in touch with me Don't expect for the higher ups in the company to care anymore about their customers than anyone elseI can't wait to go through the whole process of certified letters and hoops to jump through in months to cancel my membership Do yourself a favor and do NOT join this gym They will try to suck every last penny they can out of you while giving a bunch of excuses for why they can't run their business with integrity
