Chicago title closed on our new home. It seems that they did not collect property taxes from the builder Our Country Homes. Now we owe them because the deed is in our name. They should collect from the builder and pay off the taxes as we never owned the land during 2013. We closed on February 22 and the deed did not transfer until April thus we would have to pay penalties on the taxes as we did not know about them.
