These guys were great. They came out to check our heat system under contract with our warranty company. They didn't have to (they would probably get more business if they helped the company deny claims), but they were totally honest with the warranty company, and as a result we have an entirely new system now, inside and out. They replaced it in freezing temperatures, and it's been running great. There were a few things we had to pay for that weren't covered, but we were aware of these costs ahead of time. I was really impressed- I love meeting people that still do business the old fashioned way.

They were asked by my home warranty company to give a 2nd opinion on replacing our heating & air unit. The man was very nice when he came out until he saw that our air handler was in our crawl space (which is actually very large and 4ft tall and clean). He said he wouldn't have taken the call if he knew that, he's too old to be doing that. I asked if he would like me to wait for another person, it wasn't a problem, but he said he'd do it. I put down a new tarp for the outside so he wouldnt get dirt from the outside entry part and he was only there for 5mins and done. Was very nice, said we needed a new unit and he'd make sure to do what he could to convince the wsrranty company of that. The next day I find out he told the warranty company he refused to do the work due to unsafe work conditions. I called him and he first denied it. Then said I had dogs and chickens (who live in a chicken coop in the far back of the yard anyway) abd it wasnt ideal conditions. I WAS HORRIFIED, my yard was clean, the crawl space was clean, the only thing was it just rained the day before? He then got aggitated and said he doesn't work in crawl spaces, but he lied to my warranty company because 50% of ac handlers are in crawlspaces, but he would've lost their business if they knew the real reason. He was just plain lazy and then lied not caring that his dishonesty made us seem messy. We had another company come right out and happily do the work and said there is no way he could've made that claim, our space was large and clean, it was just a shoddy company. Use someone else, not worth the time or money.

I use Steve Hare and since about 2004. He really knows his stuff. He shows up on time and does the job correctly. His prices are fair and reasonable. He is honest and doesn't push new equipment when the old equipment is working properly.
