My name is [redacted] and I am the wife of [redacted], a patient of Wyckoff Heights Medical Center emergency care on 02/**/14. We were issued a billing statement for his emergency room visit 04/**/14 for our insurance co-pay for the visit for $100.00. I sent in the billing receipt noting a credit card to be used for payment (a personal credit card) and as soon as I put it in the mail (a few hours later) I phoned the Medical Center, remembering that I have a Medical Benefits Card that can be used to pay for the co-pay (and that I don't need to pay for it out-of-pocket). I asked them, if I gave them the Benefits Credit Card # over the phone and they processed the payment immediately, if then, when they received the billing receipt noting the personal credit card # for payment, if they would not charge the personal credit card because they would see in the account that the $100 had already been paid by another means. The representative said that they would note the account and that I would not be double-charged. I WAS double-charged anyway. I have now called about 12 times in the last three months (not exaggerating) trying to get a $100 credit posted back to my personal credit card. I have been told time and time again to call back and check, that it is 'in process' etc, have spoken with several representatives and a [redacted] named [redacted] and still 3 months later, have not received the credit to my personal credit card. I was just told that now a check is 'in process' to be mailed to me and they gave me a different telephone number (other than the number on the billing statement) to call, to find out the 'status' of the check to be mailed and to ask for [redacted]. Well, surprise, surprise, [redacted] is 'not in' and will supposedly call me back. NO ONE from Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has EVER called me back when they say they will so I am not holding my breath this time either. 3 months after they accidentally process payment for a single charge twice, they STILL have yet to refund one of those payments to me. I am now considering this theft which is why I would really appreciate the Revdex.com's help in retrieving my $100.Desired Settlement: I would simply like the $100 back that they charged to my personal credit card. Review: My wife and I had a son born at this hospital. All is not most of my medical billings were covered under my insurance, the empire plan. After my son was born and started seeing a Peditrican at the hospital my billings were being paid to Wyckoff. They then decided to move the Peditrican center to another location. This facility housed many different peditricans. I was told by their billing my insurance will not have a problem paying them in this situation. My empire plan refused to them "facility charges". They indicated on my statements. And eventually refused to pay them altogether. Now my wife and a year and a half later are relieving debt collection noticed from " professional debt services" on wykcoffs behalf. We find this unacceptable and would like this resolved ASAP.Desired Settlement: All charges that were said to be taken care of should be Wyckoff responsibility. Please do not contact us and harass us.
