We made reservations for two nights on August 29, 2016 for an event happening in Dec 1-Dec 4, 2016. This hotel called me yesterday on 11/18/16 to tell me that I had to book an addition room (for a min of 3 night stay) for the weekend because of contract agreements with the event. She proceeded to tell me that we had to do this whether we used the room or not and this was not their fault, then proceeded to tell me that all the hotels around them are booked and rates are over $200 per night and their rate is $299 without the event agreement. She said good luck and let us know by tomorrow or the room is cancelled. I called corporate and they will not help because each hotel has their own events and booking are allowed to do as they wish. Corporate does not help.
Customer Service rep Max did not wanted to transfer the call to the US customer service. It was difficult to communicate with him. He says to proceed with legal actions if I wanted to. I also spoke with Karel she couldn't help either. A total of six calls where made.
