fracture. The physicians immediately contacted Yanke Bionics and wrote an Order for a custom molded fabricated thoracic lumbosacral orthosis to stabilize the fracture. Our clinician came out to the hospital on the 6th and evaluated and measured [redacted] for the device. The device was custom fabricated in our lab and then the patient was fit by our clinician on March 7th at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. With all hospital in-patient services, we are required to provide the service as soon as possible due to the medical urgency of the diagnosis. In regards to [redacted]'s health insurance coverage: Yanke Bionics is a contracted in-network provider for [redacted]. The total cost for the device is $2355.00. The contracted insurance write-off was 1184.54. The insurance paid 523.54 toward the brace, The patient made a 20.00 payment toward the bill on 12/8/17. The remaining balance is 626.92. On 11/9/17 we attempted to work with the patient's mother on the balance of the bill. We offered her · a 10% discount toward the balance. She refused and Instructed, our AR dept. to turn the bill into the Collection Dept. She notified our AR Dept. she was going to file a complaint with the Revdex.com. In conclusion, we understand that healthcare costs can be challenging, especially during a very stressful time.
