Horrible ethics in handling my puppy and its health. Very negative and insensitive. They discriminated against me thinking I was some poor kid off the streets that didn't have any financial ability to care for my puppy. I was shocked at their terminology used "lethal injection" and telling me he had diseases that he didn't have the symptoms for. In their eyes they wanted my puppy dead and wouldn't even give him some water (and he was drinking water) they told me no point and I had to hurry and make decision to kill him off, it's amazing how different they are towards older clients that pay their outrageous prices, and someone who only went there out if desperation seeking help. My puppy had a fair chance at fighting for his life and they tried robbing it from him. I regret ever walking in there and after talking to many other members of the community they share the same dislike and disgust with Yorba Regional Animal Hospital. This is a money hungry place. Behind closed doors they expose and manipulate our animals knowing we consider them our family members and exploit them to charge unreasonably high emergency prices. The only intended reason for their existence is to make the most money, the appearance is deceiving it feels comfortable, clean, and safe but they are cold, robotic, discriminating money fiends. There needs to be some other resource to just to show how effective ONE caring Veterenarian can be. If they hadn't treated my puppy like he was already a dead corpse I would have thanked them for their services, and continued in taking him home after hearing his negative results. Instead, they told me he tested negative for all of the life threatening diseases but he was going to die anyway. So the test was pointless, why did they have to do it and charge me for it? If it turned out negative they could have discussed with me some ways to care for him at home, right? Well, as if this all wasn't offensive enough, I asked what people do in this situation to save their dog's lives, and the sad excuse of a veterinarian told me, "well.... It requires hospitalization and it gets pretty expensive, sooo.....I don't think you have that option.." I said shocked "Oh, okay. Ya..." Vet "See ya, I didn't think so" I didn't know how to respond. I wish I had proved them wrong but at the time I couldn't care about anything other than my puppy they weren't trying to help but trick me into believing and doing what they thought and wanted. They had me thinking I didn't have money! They ARE wrong about my financial situation and they are going to know that now with a law suit instead of giving them the pleasure of killing my poor pup. I was discriminated against for how I looked and not given fair and equal treatment upon check out and during the appointment.
