We have settled [redacted] claim as her car was a total loss and are waiting on the paperwork to complete the claim We have agreed to reimburse her rental and she is currently in a rental at our expense

We have reviewed Mr*** complaintHis initial concern was that he had a prior claim in 2008 involving ice damming on his roof that caused interior leaks in the same areaHe believes that had we verified that there was roof damage on the earlier claim then we could have prevented this
claim. The insured had their own contractor inspect the prior loss damage and there was apparently no clear determination of the cause though the upstairs bathroom was a possible sourceWe hired an independent adjuster to inspect the home for the current loss and they could not see any sign of roof damageWe covered the interior leak damage. The handling adjuster advised the insured that ice damming does not typically cause roof damage but can often lead to interior lea***. Since Mr*** insisted that there could be roof damage and did not know a local roofer we agreed to contact one and have them schedule an inspection to determine whether there was any damage to the roof as a result of the ice dammingA local roofer has scheduled an inspection with Mr*** to inspect the roof. We have also advised our insured that during the interior repairs their contractor should be able to see if there is any mold when they cut into the ceiling to do the repairs.Mr*** additional concerns were that his adjuster has not been responsive or proactive in contacting him and he has had to initiate the contact. The adjuster also overlooked assigning the independent adjuster as promised during the early stages of the current claim and the insured had to remind us to follow up a week laterWe have apologized to Mr*** regarding the independent adjuster assignment oversight and that we have not met his expectations in being more proactive with our follow upWe have also advised him that his policy could cover any roof damage if it is related to the current ice dam loss and there are no other circumstances that may exclude it under the policy

communication with the consumer and is in the process of rewriting the consumer's policy with the correct effective dates. Once the policy is rewritten, the Company will electronically send notification to the Nevada DMV that shows the consumer has coverage and the effective dates of the policy.
