Review: My family has taken our vehicles to Z brothers for well over 6-8 years. We initially thought they provided fair and descent enough service. We, for the first time in all these years, made a complaint. We believe their workmanship regarding our oil leak, has never really been resolved. They replaced something related to the oil in Aug (rough date). Our next visit for inspection, we mentioned that it is still leaking. We were told our filter just needed to be tightened and that should correct the issue. The small leak continued. In all of the 6-7 years we've owned our car; my husband has been able to perform the oil changes on both of our cars. On June 24th, my husband attempted to do what he always has done, change the oil. We believe the workmanship was poor, and my husband had difficulty undoing their work. I do believe it was partially their fault for not properly putting on the oil filter. I also believe maybe my husband should have stopped and just taken it back to them to undo if it was different than it was normally. I called z-brothers letting them know I needed to get my car towed there. I told them I believed this is a result of their workmanship that lead to this problem. I asked if he had a tow truck to pick it up. I told him I do not have "triple A. " He said since I believed this is the result of their workmanship, he would "ABSORB the cost of the tow fee" that he estimated to be $50. [redacted] assumed by what I had said was wrong, that it was another component of the oil tank. I asked [redacted] "what does that piece cost to fix?" (So as to gage what level of expense I could be facing.) [redacted] said the component he felt was wrong by my explanation, would cost $300-$350. [redacted] never stated that if that "was not the problem," that I would be responsible for the cost of the tow. I would never have agreed to pay $50 for a one-time tow, 2miles away, when I could buy triple A for the year and make a better financial investment. In the end, the expense to fix the oil leak was only $50.00. However, [redacted] also charged me $60 for the tow truck. He verbally agreed that the tow would be "absorbed out of pocket by him." I am a Registered Nurse whose integrity I hold very high. I trusted [redacted] and believed him when he said he would absorb the tow fee. . I never asked for the oil tank to be fixed for free, and I fully intended to pay whatever the expense ,to get it fixed. I honestly felt the least he could do was provide the tow, because this problem was a direct result of their faulty workmanship. I call it "fraud" what he did! We will never take our vehichle's to that place again, nor we will ever buy their gas again.. I plan to tell everyone in our community about [redacted]'s no-integrity work, and how he said he would never take someone's money and run. Yet that is exactly what he had done to us. I hope that $50 is worth the loss from my family and neighbors who will not be customers there any more. I really hope [redacted] recalls the exact conversation as it happened and reimburses me my money and can have the integrity that I told as his word.Desired Settlement: I would like my $50 to be refunded to me, so I can put it towards a yearly membership for triple AAA as I would have if [redacted] was honest from the beginning.
