Review: The epoxy floor that I paid $2300 for is no where near what I expected. I was told that it would cost me another $2000 to do the job correctly. I have a standard two car garage. The product is thin and brittle resulting in a very slippery surface. My son has fell several times when moisture is present. The surface chips very easily and over the last couple of years has been peeling away on its own. You can now see where the tires from my vehicle are wearing right through the surface. Also, the apron has turned from grey to yellow and is peeling away as well. I have tried to get this resolved for four years now! Greg(###-###-####), who handles the residential floors, finally cored a hole and put a sensor in to detect moisture only after I told him I was going to take action against the company. He has never followed up and is still refusing to return my calls.Desired Settlement: I have reached my limit with this company and just want my money back.

RESPONSE TO ID#[redacted]

Frank A[redacted] of Zander Solutions, did an on-site visit and met with [redacted] two weeks ago. Frank and the home[redacted] agreed that Zander Solutions will repair the chipped areas and provide an anti-slip finish. The work will be completed by the end of August.

Review: This company was hired to install a radon mitigation system in our house. On a date prior to the installation, a team member came to the house (scheduled) to assess the infrastructure in preparation for the job (there was concern that they might not be able to access some tubes that were in place from when the house was built). During this visit, the employee decided to go into the attic without notifying us (homeowners). The attic door is located in our 7 year old daughter's bedroom closet which was full of clothes and other belongings. The employee did not give us a chance to clear away the closet, nor did he take precuations to cover the items or wear a protective suit prior to entering the attic. Blown in fiberglass insulation from the attic was showered all over the closet and bedroom as a result. Then he went throughout the rest of the house with additional pieces of insulation falling off of his clothes. We had pieces of insulation on all 3 floors of our house and garage. When confronted, he became angry and just stormed off to his truck and left. We of course notified the company of this and they apologized by phone, stating that this employee would not be allowed back to our house for the job. We have 3 young children (7,3,1) and they are constantly picking up things off the floor. We therefore needed to have the house professionally cleaned to remove all of the insulation pieces - it took the cleaning crew 4 hours to complete this job. The cost was $120. I presented this bill to Zander Solutions to do the right thing and reimburse us for this cost. The note received states this: "I gave all of your information to [redacted], one of the owners. He spoke with the worker and project manager and determined that your home was left in the same condition we leave all of our homes after a radon installation. Therefore, he is not willing to reimburse you for the cleaning cost of $120.00."Desired Settlement: I would like Zander to pay our cleaning bill of $120, which is truly the least they can do for our time, energy, and money spent trying to address the problem they created through lack of professionalism and care while working at our house. And if it is true that they left our home in the same condition they always do after a job, with a total disregard for the homeowners property, then someone should investigate their practices.

To whom it may concern,

We were instructed to go into the attic to check out the job by the contractor who had some concerns of routing in the attic for the job we needed to do. There were 2 employees there and they laid down plastic to help catch insulation. Anytime you go into an attic there is always some insulation that falls down and there is the possibility of some getting tracked in the house. My employees told me that they spent considerable time picking up after themselves and tried try to keep it as clean as possible. Anytime that you have construction work done on a house there is always going to be some dust and some cleaning. The homeowner paid the bill in full and per contract. I'm sorry that they felt we left the house messy, but I'm not hearing that story from my guys.

Review: Concrete floor in food production facility was resurfaced with a polyurethane builtup coating by Zander. Installation has failed in several areas, delaminating as well as other issues. We have requested remedial action numerous times over the past two years. Zander returned once to address some of the issues. However, it was a two step process. And, they never returned to complete the remediation. Most recently upon contacting Zander I was told they would be by to take care of the situation. Following several weeks of silence, I emailed again for a status report. I have not received any response. Failure of work due to inadequate installation and prep work of subsurface.

As this is a food facility, the problem presents a sanitation issue that needs to be addressed.Desired Settlement: Remedial work to be made in an adequate and timely manner.

Response:

We did repair the floor for [redacted] but we also made [redacted] and [redacted] aware of the fact that the problem was not in the coating that we installed. The problem is with the movement of the substrate and they need a structural engineer to determine why it is failing. This was brought to their attention last year when we did the work. We applied the first coat last year and did make attempts to apply the last two coats, but because of [redacted]'s work load we could not get in to finish the work. Zander Solutions' admits fault in not pursuing the completion of this project.
