Horrible car buying experience. Left dealership with a deal only to be called back days later to "renegotiate" said deal after all the paperwork and delivery of car had been finalized. Very poor management. Would not recommend.

Review: I am unsure where to begin with this company. My girlfriend had recently purchased a car through this company and said the service was good so I had my parents buy a car from them. The service then was alright but since I wanted a Kia I decided to purchase a car from them. First, I told them the car that I wanted and they said they could find it. When they finally found the 2014 Kia Forte in a blue exterior and a black leather (which was hard to find) I was excited. I was told that the car I wanted would be 20,785 but I was told by [redacted] that if I bought the same car with a navigation system that it would only be $1,411 more. Therefore, I jumped on that price and put a security deposit on the car since they told me it was coming from Japan. Well after they took my security deposit the price suddenly jumped $1,000. I was told lie after lie stating they didn't give me that price and that I was wrong. They decided to send over their two managers named [redacted] and [redacted]. Both of them are liars as well. Casey said and made a copy of with his signature, if I didn't want the car anymore they can refund $500 as long as I called within 24 hours. Which we called within 24 hours and they said it was a store policy that $500 can't be refunded since they found a car. The problem was that the VIN number they gave me for the blue car was actually a black car with black interior. Long story short, these people are the biggest scams going. My family has bought cars from MANY dealers from Ford, Dodge, Toyota etc. Other Kia dealers will warn you to stay away and even Casey said they have been getting a bad reputation for things they promised that they haven't granted such as 2 years of free oil changes. If you want to get scammed and lied to then this is the perfect place for your business. But I will NEVER go back to talk to any of those people again.

Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I want my $500 back and I want people to know how bad of a business this place is. They're a business full of scams.

Mr. [redacted]'s deposit was refunded at 1:26 pm on 7/23/13. I will address the remaining nonsense in his complaint for informational purposes only. Mr. [redacted] was referred to Kia of Milford by his father, a satisfied Kia of Milford customer. He contracted for a Premium Package Forte with the Technology package that included navigation. His order was written as a "locate" in the Abyss Blue color with black leather trim. At no time was Mr. [redacted] told the vehicle was coming from Japan. Kia is a Korean car company! He was told the vehicle would come from another dealer in the North East Region, if available. The vehicle that was actually available did not have navigation and the price quoted for this vehicle was less, not $1000 more as Mr. [redacted] states. Lastly, no one ever made reference to a two free year oil change program. The dealership does not have such a program, nor has it ever.

Review: The service center, in mounting tires, stripped a right front lug nut. The tire will not come off. Kia of Milford refuses to fix what they caused. They claim it was caused when new brakes were applied after the tires were mounted. I have had no breaks applied. They offered 50% off the cost. That's not fair.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the partial settlement response from the business.)

Your computer recorded THE WRONG car dealership. The proper place was Kia of Milford, which was explicitly recorded in my application to you.

Forget any settlement. The car company will not budge on the decision to give me nothing.

As I MUST deal with Kia of Milford to continue my warranty program, I caanot afford (literally) to antagonize them any longer. Once again, the big guys win !

Review: Dealer refuses to repair issues with error code P0106 and transmission issues after a history with transmission issues

The service manager at the Chevrolet of [redacted] has informed me that because I have a aftermarket Intake that they will not perform repairs to other parts of the vehicle. I currently have a service repair request ([redacted]) in with the Chevrolet Regional repair representative [redacted]). The service manager also seems to be resentful to perform service on my vehicle because of the history and has said "I don't know if this is a issue with the vehicle but I believe you might be making a legacy out of this." Inferring that I am to blame for the failure and issues with the vehicle. As of the moment the vehicle constantly has a check engine light and is not producing proper torque at rpm's above 5200 rpm. I have brought my vehicle to this establishment multiple times for transmission issues with it grinding gears. But as the vehicle is standard they seem to think I am at fault for the clutch not being extended all the way and disregard any claims made about the transmission being faulty.Desired Settlement: I would like the business to repair the vehicle under warranty. As I believe they are being non compliant with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

After the dealer brought a representative from GM they said that my vehicle was not able to be warrantied for the catalytic converter as a warranty issue. I then call GM Executive (###-###-####) And spoke with a man named [redacted] on ext [redacted] And was given an additional case number ([redacted]) After that they told me that because I had submitted a Revdex.com complaint that they could not go into detail and were withholding information on how exactly they have deemed the aftermarket intake as the cause and just simply stated that their engineering team deemed it to be a possible cause. And they again will not be supporting the vehicle under warranty. Highly unhappy with this result and will be changing my view of Chevy as a brand and will most likely choose other brands in the future after being in a Chevy loyal family for over 25 years of loyalty. Very sad to see think kind of representation

Sincerely,

Review: Goodyear Tire Warranty not offered

I bought 4 new Goodyear tires less than 1 year ago, when I bought the tires I asked for a tire warranty. The dealer said Goodyear does not offer warrantees on tires. Since I bought the tiers we have had 2 tires that hit a nail having to replace both tires. We are replacing the 2nd tire at Goodyear who is going to provided tire replacement coverage. The dealer misleads us casting us over $500 in tire replacement. They lied about tire insurance.Desired Settlement: I want $500 for the cost of 2 new tires that would have been covered if they gave me the tire insurance offered by Goodyear

We have reached out to the customer to discuss there concern. We were informed that Mr [redacted] is currently out of town and that he will contact us when he returns. At that point we will go over the goodwill that has been given to him,and discuss the additional goodwill offered.

Business Response /* (4000, 8, 2013/07/17) */

It is a fact that Goodyear does not offer Road Hazard warranties on tires. We did not make any misleading statement when we stated that to the customer.

However, when Mr. [redacted] went to an independent tire dealer as shown on his invoice, they offered him Road Hazard Protection from their preferred source for the additional fee of $14.75 per tire for tires they sell in their store.

Another misunderstanding to clear up. When the vehicle was brought back to us with a damaged tire, it had been driven on 14,952 miles and then was damaged beyond repair. As a goodwill gesture, we installed a new tire for only $96.87. The copy of our invoice shows that. However, there was also damage from the impact to the electronic Tire Pressure Monitor in the wheel which also had to be replaced and reprogrammed. This was done for the modest fee of $19.95 (normally $69.95) plus the cost of the monitor. So the total for the transaction for everything was $191.26 as shown on the bill.

Finally, even with Road Hazard Protection, the tires diminish in value as they wear out. Any claim for compensation would reflect that fact. So there would not be a 100% reimbursement of cost of the tires if he had purchased the tires elsewhere with the extra cost of insurance coverage.

We can see from the current tire invoice that the vehicle has been driven 20,820 miles since the original purchase from us. Generally, this could mean that the tires in question may have been worn 50-60% or more when they were replaced.

We hope this review clears up the matter.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 10, 2013/07/22) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

The facts are a tire warranty was available regardless of who was providing the service. [redacted] Auto indicated No coverage was available when in fact I have coverage.

I have to call into question any work done by [redacted] Auto. Our car was service free until Dan Perkin went out of business and we started having [redacted] Auto change our oil. Every time we show up to get an oil change something new goes wrong with our car. I'm told the tire pressure valve only needed to be reset, [redacted] replaced it, I had some work done for an intake, we still have the same issues and they say nothing's wrong. They damaged all 4 rims worth over $1000, it's been a nightmare.

Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2013/07/31) */

We stand by our original statement, we do not offer or sell Road Hazard Wty on our tires to anyone. We have gone above and beyond to help the customer with his damaged tire, by discounting the price to less than half.

Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2013/08/02) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

The facts are;

I purchase tires from a reputable tire dealers, BMW, Town Fair Tire, Firestone over the years. I asked Paul about getting tire protection like what I have on my other vehicle, he indicated you can't get tire insurance on the tires we needed. I took that on good faith, what I should have down was shopped around. Since they are a dealer I figured it to be the truth. It is clear that we were misled and it's not a customer friendly dealer. The right thing should have been, "we don't offer tire insurance" "if you go to a tire dealer you can get tire protection. [redacted] Automotive just wanted to make the money off the tire sale, I plan on contacting the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, so consumers are not mislead on products like tires that can be purchased with protection plans by other dealers. In addition I will take the advice of [redacted] Automotive and stick with high end car manufactures which offer better services.
