I experienced the same thing as the previous reviewer who posted on 8/10/I got a sudden pstating I had a serious problem and there was a phone number to callMy computer was now locked-upI can't remember all the details, but it seemed to be from Microsoft so I calledI was connected to an East Indian sounding lady who said I had many problems and offered to fix it for a feeI finnaly agreed to a $for year plus $for a second year chargeI was connected to another person, a man also with an Indian accent who spent a long time on my computer with total access to it while I watchedI couldn't really notice too much improvement in performance after he said he was doneHe said I now have total security and unlimited support for years
Today,8/18/15, I got a call, again with the same accent, saying the company was "going out of business" and I was going to get my money refundedHe wanted me to fill out a form on the computer after I went through a bunch of hoops with ID and passwordsI got suspicious and said I didn't want to proceedI said this is very unusual and why couldn't he just credit my credit card like any other business woutldHe got very upset and challanged my reasoningI refused to proceed and he said he would have a manager call me to better explain and assure me all was OKI then finnally looked up the Revdex.com report and found I was not alone in this situation
It looks like I may have been taken for $If I ever get it back, it is going to go to people in need

I just used this service and am very happy with the time and effort they took to fix all my computer problems is a very timely, efficient mannerI was very skeptical but spoke to the supervisor, Justin for over an hourHe was very professional and explained everythingNishart, the computer tech fixed all the problems and answered all my questions

I have been contacted over times from Alex from TechFixI purchased their help late last year and my PC is still having issuesNow he is calling me saying he wants to refund my money but I have to be at my PC and download Anydesk so he can take over my PC againI questioned him numerous times over many days and he kept saying this is the only way to get my money backI started looking online and see the scams out there concerning this company, I really don't understand if a company provides a service for $and the service doesn't fix the issues why they can't refund my money directly to my account like any other company that knows they didn't follow through on their promisesThey sure had no issue taking the money out of my account and I am not sure what elseI feel compromised and taken advantage of

I received an offer from TECHFIXNOW 866-FL in my email in July to correct any problems I might be having with my computerSince I was having problems I contracted their services for $CDNThey took remote control over my computer and for about hours they worked to correct problemsWhen finished I found that I still had reoccuring problems and that few of my issues had been resolvedI called a 2nd time and the proceedure repeated itselfAfterwards there was minor repair and I continued to have problemsThen I went to the Revdex.com online and found there were many warnings and complaints about this companyToday TECHFIXNOW called me claiming that the US government was requiring them to return my fees, as they were moving their database from the US to the UK and also cancelling their follow up serviceAgain I started to follow the heavily accented support guy's instructions, but he wanted remote access to my computer againThat's when I got suspicious and cancelled the phone call before anything could happenHas anyone else experienced this? I asked then to call back in an hour, but they were on the phone to me again in about a minuteI didn't answerI would love a rebate for their rotton services but I don't know if they are legitAs an aside my MasterCard was recently compromisedWhile TECHFIXNOW had remote control of my computer I'm wondering it thay accessed my password file where they would have gotten the information to scam my credit card?

I found dealing with this company to be a bit unnerving.I was online trying to get to my credit union website (may have actually typed account number and password) when I got a popup I've never seen on my Mac: a blue background screen that said my computer had a virus or malware and I needed to call a number provided to fix the issue. I couldn't close the Safari app and didn't think to power down but called the number thinking they would have e quick fix. Two hours and $299.95 (for a new 1 year warranty)later my machine worked fine. My complaint is I'm not sure what was wrong, they remote accessed my machine, were able to watch while I entered credit card info (including security code) and sold me the "warranty" in case anything like this happens again. But I'm not sure what happened and they simply said someone attacked my machine. How do I know it wasn't them? I am still very concerned that they were able to scan my entire machine and find all kinds of private info on it to use ti many financial ends. When they are able to remotely operate my machine how do I know they couldn't make copies of my entire hard drive while pretending to help fix a malware, adware, or virus problem (which I thought Macs didn't have?) So I don't like at all how they fixed this issue (if I did in fact have one.) I am thinking this could be the cleverest way to access data on the entire computer with the user's permission! Something tells me no company should be able to remotely operate someone's computer but should have to walk the user through the steps to operate and install anything that company is trying to use or install on the machine. And $300 seemed exorbitant to address the issue. $50 would have been more reasonable. And they were trying to tell me for an hour to trust them because blah, blah, blah. So a very disturbing way to fix a computer (especially one they may have been intentionally attacked by the company fixing it.)

I too received a popup and alarm bells went off. The notice said that this was an alert from Microsoft. Since recently installed Windows 10, I thought that something had happened. I really did not know what to do. Thirty minutes of telling me there was the need to have them "take over" my computer was bad enough but then it was $249.99 later, I was giving credit card information to these folks sitting in India (they said). I too am really concerned about what I've permitted as far as access to my computer. I see nothing that they are really working for Microsoft. I think this is false. I feel the approach was a scam. I still don't know whether I've done the wrong thing. But I do feel taken for a big ride with a company that now can access my computer that lied to me about being part of Microsoft.

This is a SCAM! They will do anything to get you to enter your debit/credit card information. They scammed me. I even called back and yelled at the "manager" to refund me the money 100% and send me an email about my transaction (2x).... never got an email. Total scam. Then they called me literally 15x from many different state locations telling me they needed to refund me my $259.99. I went along with it to see what they would say and in the end they wanted me to log into my BANK ACCOUNT ... where I'm sure they would have drained my accounts. They stated that the bank account was secure ... blah blah blah and even pulled up their bank account for me to see.. and I could see all of the numbers. Do not talk. Please hang up! Go to Best Buy.. shut your computer down if you get a pop up !! Don't fall for it like I did and don't get your hopes up for getting your money back.. good luck. A dispute with my bank didn't help me get it back. Just a huge waste of money of a scam. No business calls 20x in one day to try to give you your money back.. that's a big sign right there. I want my money back and they wouldn't even mail a check to me or direct wife it through pay pal. So [redacted] off.
