I must say that in my 26+ years of being in business this is the first time I've had a complaint for being honest.First let's set the record straight,our minimum bench fee,or "check out" fee if you will,is not 50.00.Each customer who brings a unit in for service is told of this charge.Customers are also explained that this charge goes toward any repairs but does cover our time in the event the TV is not repaired.I must also say that this customer has not made one single attempt to contact me in regards to this matter.The TV was taken apart and inspected for any visual defects and was also bench tested for several days without incident.I personally spoke to the customer and he told me that the set sometimes would work for a period of time so I suggested we would play it a while longer and see what happened.After about a week I called the customer to tell him the set would not act up for us and to take it home to run it.Also,as I explain to ALL of my customers who have intermittent issues with their TV'S, we give them up to days to bring it back in and we would let them use the previously paid bench fee toward the repair of the same TVI am at a complete lost as to the basis of this "complaint" and respectfully request it be removed
I called The *** *** about the TVThey came out and found it was a board that was badThey ordered the part and came back to install itThey informed me that ** has had issues with the board going badAll is good with the TVAs for Zimmerman, I paid them $to look at the TVMy son was with me when we dropped it offThey had the TV for a weekI called them to check on the statusThe man I spoke with said it sounded like a boardHe would have to order itHe informed me it would take another weekAfter another week I called again to check the statusI was told that it may not be the boardThey asked me to give them another week to work on the TVAfter another week they said the TV appeared to be workingThey said I could pick it up because it did not lose the pictureMy wife picked it up and brought it homeThe next day the picture went blank again after a couple of minutesThats when I contacted The *** ***I could have brought the TV back to Zimmerman, but I felt they would give me the run aroundGoing three weeks without a TV was excessive and I felt It would take them another couple of weeks to look at the TV again
