I filed a compaint this morning but I have no idea if it went through and was hoping to talk to someone to help me better understand the process My name is *** *** Address is *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** I wanted to file a complaint against Dean Motor Cars, Inclocated in Houston, Texas I bought a vehicle from them in January I believe of and have had all kinds of issues with it I have put a lot of money into and when I bought it I was told that it was in excellent shape and in excellent mechanical shape I was lied to and they don't think they did anything wrong I have an emailed that I tried to tell them and they never done anything about it ( I haven't contacted them recently) I have had to get things fixed up to this day on it I have a list of things that I had to have fixed and I am getting all my reciepts together I also had different mechanics look it over and the
DISHONEST & DISAPPOINTING!
Recently traveled hours to purchase a truck from these guys Put a deposit down on a Saturday & picked up the following Saturday When we get there the truck was not even clean, and still had a lot of the original owners information in it The windshield had several stars in it that were not shown or mentioned in the advertisementThey did have a new windshield installed while I waited The brakes were warped, another thing not mentionThere was several hundred miles more on the odometer that what was advertisedThere was only ignition key & no working remotes Maybe a 1/tank of gas
I decided to proceed with the purchase anyway They did give $back so that I could pay for detailing the inside I drove another hours to get back homeSunday morning I was headed to to the auto store to get some cleaning supplies and they Check engine light came on when I started the truck Less than happy at this point I had the gentleman at the auto store run the code to see what it wasIt was an emissions system error/Air Pump I asked the guy to please reset the code in hopes it was just a glitch Monday when I started the truck at lunch time the error came back I took to my mechanic and he rand the codeSame error as before Turns out this is a known error by *** on 2007-Tundras At this point I asked my mechanic to prepare an estimate Meanwhile I contacted Dean Motor Cars & explained the situation I also contacted the original owner who confirmed that he traded it in because the error kept happening & they dealership wanted $2,to correct itDean told may they wanted to make it right, but that I was going to have to bring it back to them so they could have their mechanics look at it I reminded them that I was hours away I went on to say that my mechanic had prepared an estimate to fix in accordance with the *** Technical service bulletin (The Correct *** Fix for their known problem) the Estimate was $2, I proceed with the repair as I really had no other choice I them made multiple attempts to contact Dean Motor cars including sending them copies of the invoice I asked that Dean at least cover the cost of the parts ($1,600) and I would cover the laborThey choose not to reply or respond in any wayDean Motor cars reset or had the computer reset to hide this error from meDISHONEST and DISAPPOINTING!
