Hi there I am the owner of inspirations clothing and resale. I received a letter with a complaint and was assigned an ID number of[redacted] came into our business on February 14. He wanted to drop off several bags of clothing and we explained that we only accept two bags at a time but he...
was adamant that he wanted to drop them all off, he didn't care if they were all donated. So we explained our buying rules to him and offered him a copy of the rules. He declined a copy. He just insisted he wanted the items donated. He said if we didn't take them then he was going to take them to [redacted]. Never once did he mention anything about a garage sale there were three girls working upfront at the time. The whole staff was handling his demands. They came back and asked me for permission for him to leave all the bags so long as they were donated. And I told him that so long as he was only donating what we didn't buy he could leave them all.We had him check the box on our buying rules stating that he wanted his items donated that were left over. Our rules clearly state that if the box is checked and in the event that we purchased nothing they are giving us permission to donate everything. [redacted] checked the box. We purchase clothing from baby to young adult and all of the clothing he brought in was older woman's clothing there were only two items we were able to purchase coming to a total of $3.90. When he came in to pick up his items he was unhappy with the price and demanded his clothes back. But they had already been bagged with the other items ready to go out to the world mission bins for donation. We had told him he was more than welcome to come back and pick out his clothing and take it back with him but he got angry and stormed out. [redacted] did take his $3.90, contrary to his statement, we have it on camera, and we do have a payout slip for that money from the register that day. So as we offered him his clothing back and paid him for what we did buy his complaint should be Null and void. The moment we received this letter we contacted him personally told him we retrieved all of his clothing from the donation bins ourselves and that he was to come back today and pick it up. So all of the items have been returned to [redacted] at this time we have nothing further of his. We also re-paid him for the $3.90 writing him a check so that we would have added proof. So [redacted] has now been paid twice and received his clothing back as well.If you have any further questions please contact me at [redacted] Sincerely,[redacted]Owner
