Initial Business Response /* (1000, 15, 2015/12/15) */
MrRay *** contacted our office indicating had a contract with the consumer's neighbor and he was working on the city easementThe damages were taken care of by the city, they leveled the dirt, seeded with grass and put straw downThis
matter was taken care of
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 17, 2015/12/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is not true that the city did the entire cleanupThe contractor and his worker also worked on the part where they made the connection to the sewerBut they did not fill in the ruts made on our property they drove on to get to the sewer to connect
When my husband went out to talk to the contractor about the clean up and mess they were making with equipment, the contractor's refused to talk to my husband and made some nasty remarks to him
The contractor is responsible for returning the property owners land they way they found itTaking dirt from our property to someone else's is not acceptableEspecially when that dirt was needed to fill in that spot and the deep ruts that the contractor left on our propertyThey took the dirt off so they did not have to work so hard to smooth out the spot where they connected the sewerAll that dirt should have stayed on that pile in the first place
I have been in contact with City Utilities and they were investigating the problemThey had contacted the contractor and the owner having the sewer work done and thought it had been resolved
The city is now looking into this again as the property owner whom the contractor was working for, was supposed to contact us and never did
The contractor is responsible for getting the property back to its original condition and he has not
As soon as I hear back from City Utilities I will update Revdex.com on this problemI can also send you correspondence from City Utilities if needed
