Dear [redacted]:As per our conversation on February 24,2017. First I am not a paralegal never told her I am a paralegal, a paralegal have to work under the direction of an attorney, I am a legal document assistant. [redacted] was behind several months in her rent, I serviced her a three day notice to...
pay or quit. [redacted] told me she would like to move out and not pay the rent. I told [redacted] I must receive the keys from her to acknowledge she is no longer in the property. I did tell her she may drop the keys in our drop box and once I receive keys and verify the owner is in possession no father actions regarding an unlawful detainer will occur. [redacted] was concern about the unlawful detainer proceeding and I tried to explain to her we could not proceed with an unlawful detainer if there is no unlawful detainer of property. [redacted] called me after I received the keys and I told her the notice stated pay or quit and she quit. I did tell her I have sent a letter confirming I received the keys in the past to former tenants. On February 3, my Mother was rushed to the hospital in another state, I did tell her I would get her something in the mail. I should not have sent her anything regarding receiving the keys because no action was taken and she knew this but I am always trying to assist people. Within minutes of me handing up the phone with my sister that told me my mother died this woman called me yelling at me about not checking my voicemail. This woman called me yelling at me demanding I send her a corrected notice with the correct information on it. I will not be sending her a corrected notice. If you have any question(s) regarding this letter, please do not hesitate to call our office, we would be happy to assist you. Sincerely, [redacted]
