I had a bad experience with ACI specialty benefits as a providerUnlike the many other EAPs that I have worked with they will only transmit referrals telephonicallyThere is no follow up paperwork on their partIf you somehow don't get the voice message and the client does not write it down on your intake all the responsibility shifts to you if you bill insurance instead By the time you find out that you were supposed to start with their EAP instead of insurance more then days has passed so you can know longer bill them and get reimbursedACI take absolutely no responsibility for or shares in any of the risk for such miscommunicationWe raise the concern that the client did not write it down on our intake form and when we tried to offer proof that they did not record it on their intake we were literally accused of trying to violate Privacy laws by offering to provide an intake that had no more identifying information then the clients name address and the fact that they didn't let us know who their EAP was on the intake As a provider you carry all the riskDon't work with this company.we only did a few cases with them but they were so vile to us that we literally terminated our relationship with them after just a few cases.We even asked if we could have the option of referrals being transmitted to us by fax or email or text and they said no.They literally said they don't "have the resources for that", but every other EAP I've ever worked with gives you that optionSomething is wrong they cannot function like every other EAP

I do not recommend contracting with this organization as a providerTheir contract outlines they will remit payment within days, but they do notThis company does not return your calls regarding paymentThey state someone from billing will return your call, but this does not happenIf you are a provider who would like to get paid for services rendered, then I do not recommend contracting with ACI Speciality Benefits
