This is by far the most unreliable, unprofessional and disorganized business I have ever encountered. They started a very simple job several months ago and still have not completed it. They schedule appointments and then never show and don't even bother to call with an explanation. I'm surprised they are even still in business, DO NOT HIRE THIS BUSINESS TO DO ANYTHING IN YOUR HOUSE, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED FOR SURE

We feel that it is important that people know of our experience with Act Now Plumbing. We called early this morning to make an appointment for an estimate for our plumbing needs. They had said they would be here between 2 and 3 pm. We made sure we were at home during that time. When they did not show up by 3 pm, my husband called them to ask why... The owner said he tried to call to confirm, but received no answer. We had confirmed that morning when we spoke with him. He said he would not send someone out unless he confirmed 30 minutes prior to appointment. We understood the confusion, he then said he would send someone right away. It is now 3 hours later, and still no one here. We tried to call and there was no answer and the voice mailbox for both company, and cell phone is full... Imagine that. He was being spiteful! I wouldn't use or recommend a company so unprofessional! Especially after reading other reviews. Not sure how a company like that can get on Angie's List.

When I called Act Now Plumbing, I was talking to a guy named [redacted]. As I was speaking to him he hangs up on me as I was trying to explain what issues I was having. He then calls me back about 30 minutes later and schedules himself to come to my house to look at my plumbing problem which he showed up 30 minutes late.
After he shows up and looks at my issue he then tells me that there is a $35 service charge that he would waive if I went with his service. I also overheard him on the phone with another customer who was calling to get a quote and he tells them that it is free estimate. So I don’t get what the service fee was for.
I went ahead with his service which was absolutely haphazard. He was constantly loosing the pieces to my original pipes and mixing them up with the pieces he had. After he finished the problem was worse then what it originally was. I called him back the next morning as his service was to be 24/7. First thing he tells me was that I will be his first stop. About 5 pm later is when he finally showed up and while this whole time I had to shut the water off as the leak was worse. He finally fixes it again, and I realize that he forgot to put in a gasket which I found.
I mad the mistake of asking him to fix a leak in my toilet which he ends up charging me $85 for a problem that I ended fixing myself after looking it up on Google and going over to Lowes and buying the flapper valve.
The thing that topped it all was that as he was leaving the second time, he said that he will have his office send me a $75 off coupon for the next service. Needless to say, even if his service was free, I wouldn’t call him back.

Mr. [redacted] was paid a sum of $488.00 for services he did not render. As of this writing, he is refusing to honor our refund request. I contacted Act Now Plumbing Co. on March 13, 2015. The plumber I spoke to, [redacted], made arrangements to be at our home on March 18th. Mr. [redacted] had previously installed a water heater for us in 2014. During his service visit, Mr. [redacted] gave us an estimate of $988.00 ($488.00 of which was paid upfront to pay for the parts needed for the repairs). After I wrote him a check for this amount, Mr. [redacted] told me he would return to our home in a week to complete the repairs we agreed upon. Well a week past, and there was no word from Mr. [redacted]. So my husband and I thought to ourselves, he might be busy, or the parts he ordered haven't arrived yet. So once again we waited patiently, as another two weeks passed, and still no contact from Mr. [redacted]. At this time, I decided to place the first of several calls to try to find out when he was planning to complete the job he had promised. Each time I called, I was given the brush off. He would say either, "I can't talk to you now,or I'll call you back later". For the most part "later" never happened. As time elapsed, we became more and more agitated with this individual, so I decided to call him again. This time he tells me he's been busy, and the job he promised to complete for us was scheduled to be completed on Thursday (April 23rd), which was in a few days. Well April 23rd arrives, and as you can guess, Mr. [redacted] is once again a no show. So I decided to place another call to him on the following day which was Friday. This is when Mr. [redacted] proceeds to tell me that he's in the hospital, and he's had a heart attack". I realize it's not uncommon for a person to be stricken with a heart attack, but this is coming from a man that appears to be in excellent physical condition. In fact my daughter, who spoke to Mr. [redacted] about a week later said, that during their conversation, Mr. [redacted] first tells her he's busy changing a tire, and then later on, when the conversation becomes heated, he tells her, he's had heart bypass surgery, and is waiting to be released back to work by his doctor. More on this later. Well our previous frustration, has now evolved into downright indignation, so we decided to ask for our money back. Therefore, on May 1st 2015, I called Mr. [redacted]'s personal cell phone #, you've noticed I said "personal", the same personal cell phone # I've been calling to reach him. This time he tries to deceive me by disguising his voice, and pretending to be his brother; thereby, telling me his brother [redacted] is in the doctor's office trying to get released, so that he can go back to work. He is now claiming that I was mistaken, and it wasn't his brother I was speaking to, but it was his dispatcher....Hmmm, who just happens to carry around his personal cell phone. During this time, my husband contacted him requesting our money back, and threatening legal action if he didn't do so (this also occurred on May 1st). He then emailed my husband and told him it would take 10 to 21 days to receive our refund from Arizona (this is supposedly the main branch for Act Now Plumbing, their address and phone # appear on the invoice, but strangely, you cannot reach this company by phone with the number they provide, and as for an internet search, it basically leads nowhere). Now let's proceed to May 7th, when he emailed my husband to tell him quote, "Check has been mailed from our office in Arizona" . Well it is now May 22nd and still no sign of a refund check. Right now we are more than fed up with Mr. [redacted], and as a result, we are now positioning ourselves to take legal action against him. The Revdex.com is our first step in this process. Our next step is to contact the authorities to see what can be done. Desired SettlementWe seek to have our deposit of $488.00 refunded to us. We did not break this agreement, he did. Mr. [redacted] is trying his best not to return our money. He is threatening to charge us with time spent to do a plumbing search, which he says took over 2 hours (which is another fabrication). It took him no longer than 20 minutes to figure out what was needed to complete the job. The other time spent (I would say another 15 minutes) was spent by him discussing a TV show he likes. He has also threatened to hit us with a service charge. Don't forget, Mr. [redacted] wasted.... our time. He broke the agreement, not us. And now, as a result of this, we find ourselves having to look for another plumber. Additionally, due to the delay in having these repairs done, we don't have no idea what further damage has been done to our home. We have a busted pipe under our house that's causing internal leaking inside the walls. Business Response [redacted] is what we have on file and it came back please have customer email proper address so we can send refund check or money order again thank you

Complaint[redacted], the "owner" of Act Now Plumbing is a dishonest person and took advantage of my husband and I. The hot water heater in our house went and we contacted Act Now Plumbing to come and fix it on January 30, 2015. We were told that a rep would be out that night to fix it. Around 8:30 PM we were contacted and told that a rep would be sent out first thing in the morning and we would get a discount on our services for the delay. The morning of January 31, 2015, a rep finally showed up around 11 AM, two hours past our promised appointment time of 9 AM. [redacted], the owner, and his son, who is only 17, came to fix the hot water heater. We were told the price would be around $1,000. Once the invoice #[redacted] was written up, the total was $1,482. When we asked why the price had changed [redacted] stated it is what it is. He was very unprofessional the hour and a half that he was here. He left the garage a mess with all kinds of debris from the old hot water heater, that he had promised to clean up. When the amount was that high we offered to pay it with our [redacted] credit card, but [redacted]'s card services were conveniently down and he could only accept cash. I refused to pay in cash because it is not traceable. We wrote him a check and within a half an hour he cashed the check. I tried to make the check out to the name of his business and he forced me to write it out to his name ([redacted]), check number [redacted]. This concerned me because he is trying to hide income for the business from his IRS by forcing me to make the check out to him personally. He had gone on and on about his son being in the Army and that he "takes care of military families". I feel that he took advantage of my husband and I. He also told us that we could pay the remaining balance after our next paycheck. The invoice states that we have 30 days to pay the balance, but a short 15 days later he began harassing my husband for the balance. He threatened to turn my husband and I into the credit bureau and have a lien put against our house. He also threatened to call my husband's command to try to get him in trouble at work. We felt that he was taking advantage of us being a military household and we paid him the balance on February 18. My husband was supposed to meet with him on his lunch break but once again [redacted]'s truck conveniently wasn't working and he insisted that he couldn't meet my husband. Then he drove to our house that night unannounced to pick up the remaining balance. I feel that he has been unfair and dishonest with us because he knows we are a military couple. I feel like he was trying to make a quick buck on a young couple. The hot water heater that he gave us is only worth $400 according to [redacted]. I do not understand why we paid $1,000 more than the product was worth. It is unreasonable that he would charge that as the price of labor. He took advantage of a desperate military couple. The invoice also says that the company is located at [redacted]. #1[redacted]. He also never showed us his work ID, or plumber's license when we asked to see it. Desired SettlementThe settlement that I am seeking from the business is the $482 that we overpaid this man. This is the difference from the "estimate" he gave my husband over the phone and what he actually wrote up on the bill of sale. I feel that this is the money that he tried to charge us to make a quick dollar on a young, military couple. Business Response [redacted] first they call at 9pm at night requesting service we explained that it costed a little extra and it was so late it did not make sense to go at that time we walked him threw on steps to turned the water off then on saturday mooring which is a weekend we went out at no extra charge for weekend and waived service call fee also we came with water heater on hand we gave estimate they agreed and signed and gave us permission to start they had other issue that need repairs like 3/4 ball that did not work and that while they could not shut off water that night all the way we also installed new supply lines and flex hoses also water heater has a extend warranty foe 6 years parts and labor total 1482.00 when it was time to play mr [redacted] said can you check this toilet out he stared to fix it and could not stop it from leaking we said we were busy but when we come back on a slow day and fix it for no charge customer service we call it given a pickle not a big deal now its time to pay and they say we don't have all the money right now I say ok how much you have they had 900 check and 100 cash and mr [redacted] said I'm a marine and I get paid every two weeks I'm good for it I said ok my son is in the service thats fine I can help him out has soon has I left he called to asked about the bill demanding explanations I said read the contract it self explanatory I went over bill with him over phone next day daddy call for his little boy complaining about price I explained and after on the phone talking I agreed to take 100 off leaving 382.00 left and dad said ok my son is good with this now its time to pay 16 day later 2 days late and again he ask for details at this point I said I'm done pay the bill our I will put a lien on home and notify your superior so he says ok pick up so again another lie that I showed up with out calling when I get there first they had cash then a check made out wrong then another check that was from different bank they tried all ways to screw our company over the moral of this story is never give a dead beat credit and always flow company rules no money no work thats it nice try buddy........

I hired th0is co twice. He lost my check and I replaced. He deposited it months later and refuses to refund to me.The Detailed Account: I hired Act Now Plumbing in the Fall of 2014. My bathroom faucet was leaking on either side of the fixture and into the interior of the wall, which then drained onto the carpeting. Consequently, he had to cut a hole in the wall in order to access the fixtures. He assured me it would be patched the next day and he would install an access panel in case I needed to access the fixtures in the future. He did not return to fix the hole as promised. Act Now Plumbing owner, [redacted], was working on the leak when he went into my garage and saw my water heater. He stated it was a fire hazard and needed to be replaced. He explained the issue and showed me the area of the heater he was referring to. The total to fix the leak, replace the tub fixtures, and replace the water heater was a total $2,350.00. Since the expenses far exceeded the anticipated amount to repair the leak, I did not have all of the money to pay the bill. Mr. [redacted] agreed to accept post-dated checks to cover the total bill. A couple of days later, he informed me one of the checks had been lost. Consequently, I wrote him another check for the same amount and same date to be cashed at a later date. Mr. [redacted] ultimately deposited one of the checks early which resulted in my bank charging me $35.00 for non-sufficient funds. I did not contact him about the early deposit because I appreciated his working with me on payments.Unfortunately, I had 3 more leaks in late February 2015. These leaks were far more severe than the first. So bad, in fact, that when you stepped on the carpet, it squished under your feet. Mr. [redacted] came out and determined the leaks were under the house causing water to squirt up to the subfloor. He fixed all three leaks. During this visit, I reminded him the installation of the access panel had never been completed and reported to him that the fixtures he had installed were loose. He indicated that he tightened the fixtures and he fixed the hole resulting from the installation of the access panel. However, the fixtures now leak worse than before. For example, when the hot knob is turned on and is pushed in, the cold knob pulls away from the wall. The total for these services was $1,950.00. Again, Mr. [redacted] allowed me make payments by providing him with post-dated checks. As of March 18, I owed him a total of $250.00 which he could deposit at that time.On March 18, a check for $564.98 was paid out of my account. I realized it was the check Mr. [redacted] claimed to have lost from the first job. I called him and we discussed the error. Mr. [redacted] suggested his secretary, [redacted], deposited the wrong check. I found that to be interesting since he had reported the check as lost. We determined the monetary difference between the $564.98 lost check, which he cashed, and the $250.00 balance owed resulted in an overpayment he wasn't. He lied for 6 wks claiming he would bring it. His business address is a [redacted]. "[redacted]" works for [redacted] not him. Also, leaks he fixed are back. Fixtures are loose. Desired SettlementI paid $4000.00 and his repaired leaks are back and fixtures are loose even though he tightened them twice. I would like the amount he was overpaid($314.98)and half of original amount ($2000.00) he charged me.

On or around Saturday August 2, 2014, I placed a call to Act Now Plumbing to come out and unclog my kitchen sink. A gentleman came out later that day and ran a snake down our sink to try and unclog the pipe. He was not successful, and informed us they will come out on Monday to more equipment to solve the issue. They charged us $119.00 for the service that was not successful. The owner, [redacted]., stated that when he came back out he would take off the $119.00 from the final bill. No one showed for over a week. Tuesday August 12, 2014 around 9:00 pm the owner comes to our house and tries to perform the work himself. He inserts a burst bag into our kitchn pipes and the bag gets stuck. He has to cut our pipe to get the burst bag out. When he cut our pipe the pipe broke. Every day until August 21, 2014 we waited, and the owner always had an excuse as to why he would not be coming to our home. Finally on August 21, 2014 we decided to request a full refund. We were told that it could take three to five days for the refund. We have not received the refund yet. Also, we had to call another plumber to repair the damage caused by ACT NOW Plumbing and the total for that service came to $621.00. I think that ACT NOW Plumbing should be responsible for paying for the damages they made to our home.Product_Or_Service: Unclogging of drainDesired SettlementWe would like for ACT NOW Plumbing to refund the cost of fixing the pipe that they broke in our home. The total repair bill can be furnished unpon request. No other settlement will be taken.
