My name is [redacted] from Alcaraz Landscaping, I'm responding to this complain, about barbecue Island we didn't finish it cause the owner of the house was requesting too much for the amount we charge her, she only paid $2,And we charge her 4,for completion of barbecue Island, we left all materials on job site so someone else can finish the job About the license she knew we didn't had any license and she still hire us cause we gave her good priceI don't know why she's complaining about license if she knew before we had start the jobWe are not giving her no money back cause we did more than half on the project, plus she was on a rush to finish this job and we couldn't finish it by thenWhich she never told us before we had started the job that she has a date to finish it [redacted] Alcaraz

Please see my comments: I have attached a few pictures so you can see the distance from where they were working. My car is feet inches wide, so you can see that feet is a gross exaggeration. The picture of the actual splatter is only one. There were several other spots, I have pictures of those as well.Business states that they are aware of the complaint- Mr*** only answered my initial call, and has ignored all other communication, including offers to inspect my car prior to my having the damage fixed. I have emailed, texted and left voicemails. However, they disagree with the consumer statementsAfter reviewing the consumer submitted photographs business cannot find evidence that holds them responsible for said damage- The business never returned to the property (they haven't even removed the forms on the pad yet) or took advantage of any offers to inspect the damage to my vehicle in relation to the location of where they poured the concrete. Based on the way the vehicle was parked and the pouring method used(wheelbarrel) it is not possible for the concrete to splatter on to the vehicle in that mannerThe vehicle was parked around ftaway- My car was about feet from where the pouring happened (See pictures attached), and their equipment was on our side yard much closer to my car than where they were working for many parts of the day. The actual home owner who was getting the work done had their vehicle at a closer proximity to the job site yet experienced no damage- I believe one of their vehicles at the house, but it was parked on the other side of the driveway on the street no where near where they were working. In addition, there was actually another concrete company working closer to the consumer vehicle who may or may not have been responsible for said damage- There was no other concrete company working in the area. Even if there was another company in the area, they couldn't possibly have been closer to my car than *** was. I left the house around 7am and they were working next door, and returned around noon, and they were gone. There was no other work going on that day or the next.Thank you, and please let me know if you should have any questionsThis has definitely not been resolved

I am rejecting this response because: this is a total lie. The island was going to cost us $3700. We paid them $2700. What they did was building a frame that initially was not built according to  proper measurements. That they had to rebuild then combining 2 different materials: frame and sand blocks, which created more issues. The bar itself was shaky, the stucco was not even a stucco, just cement that started to crack right after. The concrete around it was left dirty with cement. We pointed it out to them, they kept lying to us that they will fix it next time. They gave us false promises that they would come and fix it. They kept cancelling giving us different reasons. Finally they stopped responding. After realizing they messed up,  and the island cannot be fixed, they never came back. I cannot reach or talk to them. My phone calls and messages are being rejected. We never had an agreement that it has to be finished by someone else. Finally we asked CA backyard to come over and look at the island. They evaluated it and stated it has been done wrong from the very beginning and it needs to be removed. We can provide the contact and proof that it has not bern built properly. We removed it at our cost. In addition, they left marks on our brand new concrete.Alcaraz Landscaping have also not finished the sprinkler asjustment. That was their previous project they finished for us. They have also been throwing industrial garbage behind our fence onto someone elses property.   shaky. In addition they put wood on the counter. After we discovered it

My name is [redacted] from Alcaraz Landscaping, I'm responding to this complain, about barbecue Island we didn't finish it cause the owner of the house was requesting too much for the amount we charge her, she only paid $2,700 And we charge her 4,500 for completion of barbecue Island, we left...

all materials on job site so someone else can finish the job.  About the license she knew we didn't had any license and she still hire us cause we gave her good price. I don't know why she's complaining about license if she knew before we had start the job. We are not giving her no money back cause we did more than half on the project, plus she was on a rush to finish this job and we couldn't finish it by then. Which she  never told us before we had started the job that she has a date to finish it[redacted] Alcaraz

I am rejecting this response because:As the project was in progress, there were changes in the middle and I have paid the extra dollars for whatever they have asked for.  Original project estimation was $22,100 and with all the extra works requested, I have paid Alcaraz ~$42,270 (Extra of $20,170).  And I have documented all the receipts provided by Alcaraz and Bank check proofs for all my payments (Below are the proof of Check/Recipet number for the payment details).I am rejecting Alacarz response, because for the past 4 months, there were NO additonal jobs requested from Alcaraz.  I was requesting Alcaraz ONLY to finish off the jobs which they have agreed upon and paid for.  I have full proof of Phone SMS message conversations to proove all these things if needed.Date Mode Amount Notes-----------------------------------------------JUL/25/2016 Check $4,000.00 Check #[redacted]JUL/28/2016 Check $1,910.00 Check #[redacted]AUG/13/2016 Cash $4,060.00 Receipt #[redacted]AUG/15/2016 Check $4,000.00 Check #[redacted]OCT/12/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]OCT/14/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]OCT/19/2016 Check $3,000.00 Check #[redacted]OCT/27/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]OCT/27/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]NOV/14/2016 Check $3,000.00 Check #[redacted]NOV/18/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]DEC/05/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]DEC/12/2016 Check $3,000.00 Check #[redacted]DEC/16/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]DEC/20/2016 Check $2,000.00 Check #[redacted]JAN/17/2017 Check $1,100.00 Check #[redacted]FEB/01/2017 Check $1,200.00 Check #[redacted]JUN/19/2017 Check $1,000.00 Check #[redacted]----------------------------------------------- Total Paid $42,270.00 -----------------------------------------------I have obtained all the above documents from BANK and ready to submit for review in case if it is needed. So Alcaraz claim of NOT paying for the extra work is COMPLETELY INVALID.  I have paid extra $20,170, for only 2 extra works I have added after the contract is to build a Water Fountain ($4000) & One more retaining wall with Metal railing on the top ($10,000).  During excavation, Alcaraz told that they need another $5000.00 since it is full of rocks and need more machinery to excavate and I respected their work and paid that 5K without any hesitations. On top of this Alcaraz, has dumped all the excavated dirt in my front yard, for which my Home owner association gave me a notice to remove it.  Since there was no response from Alcaraz, I have hire another contractor for $500 to remove all the dirty in my front yard on top of all these expenses.

I have read the complaint against my company, and this client is absolutely wrong we finish what's in the contract, he has a copy and we do have a copy ask him to show it. The reason that we stopped is because he keeps asking for more and more extra work and he's refusing to pay the extra cost, so...

we got tired of him and we stopped, and we never force someone to pay us that ridiculous. [redacted]

used(wheelbarrel) it is not possible for the concrete to splatter on to the vehicle in that manner. The vehicle was parked around 20 ft. away. Review: On February 26, 2016 this company did concrete work on my next door neighbor's home. During the course of that work, concrete was splattered on my car.

I contacted [redacted] to notify him of the damage. He became defensive and rude, but eventually told me to send pictures of the damage, and that he wanted to see the car.

I sent the pictures via the email address on his business card, sent a follow up text to the phone number I had called, and left a follow up voice mail, no communication was acknowledged or returned.

It cost $525 to have the damage fixed, which I had to pay out of pocket.Desired Settlement: I want to be reimbursed the $525 I had to pay to remove the concrete from my car.

Please see my comments: I have attached a few pictures so you can see the distance from where they were working. My car is 6 feet 3 inches wide, so you can see that 20 feet is a gross exaggeration. Review: We hired Alcaraz Landscape to put in our backyard which included the following: dog run, sprinkler system, drip line system, sod, small patio, stone work, flower beds, planting of trees from the Sacramento Tree Foundation, install dog fence/gate, and drainage. The work to the naked eye looks adequate however after it rained a few weeks ago our dog run completely sank 6 inches and was flooding there and in our front yard where Alcaraz Landscape owner, [redacted] and [redacted], tied the drainage into. I called and scheduled an appointment for them to come survey the work and they missed the appointment. I called and they said oh we will be there tomorrow so I worked from home and they never showed up as we have a lock on our gate and they would've needed to ring the doorbell to have me let me them in our backyard. When I called [redacted] ([redacted]) said oh yes we came by and checked everything out and we'll be by Tuesday morning the following week to recompact the dog run with DG, install the dog fence/gate and fix the drainage issue and rewire the sprinkler system as it is all exposed and shredded. Tuesday came and went no response my husband called that night and they said we'll be by tomorrow morning. They never showed up but sent a text message saying they couldn't come until the following Monday. I told them this was unacceptable and our yard is flooded and needs to be fixed. [redacted], [redacted]'s wife, never responded to my text back and has ignored multiple calls, voicemails, emails, and text messages. Per our contract we have a 1 year warranty for all of his work. His address he uses now for his company is 7983 Grandstaff Dr. Sacramento CA.Desired Settlement: We just want our money back for the insufficient work ($500 to install dog run, $500 for sprinkler/drainage system, and $150 for non-install of our dog fence)Total refund is $1150.

Attached you will find the contract we signed. In addition the last time I contacted them was Tuesday February 18th in which I tried via email and phone (text & voicemail). My husband reached out to both Ed and [redacted] on Sunday February 23rd via phone.

+1

I had a very positive experience hiring them. They came on time, and and were professional. I had a hard time finding landscapers call me back or meet me on time in Lincoln CA. But Alcaraz landscapes shown through. #1 he was low cost compared to 3 other quotes. #2 he did good quality work in a timely manner (Install lawn sprinklers on 1/8 acre). He knows what he is doing and has much experience. Alcaraz is a nice family run business. The only negative is the wife (accountant) has a thick Spanish accent. My wife and I were afraid of communication barriers but don't be afraid. Her husband speaks crystal clear English and had no problems. Give em a chance, it will save your wallet and they do good work.

Review: We had contract with Alcaraz to plant trees and arrange water and Grass, arrange Sprinklers, Do Drain around and level the ground a bit. They Planted tress but never came to arrange Sprinklers(dripping system). Grass is bad - They don't answer my calls anymore and never come back to finish the watering system. Lot of my Neighbors also have the same problem with them.Grass had a minimum of 6 months guarantee - but it started to die. My plant died because I had to manually water the plants and I was out of townDesired Settlement: Finish the Dripping system , replace the grass that died and Level the ground and close the Drain. I can buy new plants - but need them to plant it.
