Review: Hello:

I along with several hundred attendees went to an event (Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Halloween) on October [redacted]. Amazura was the venue for the event. The event was to start at 10pm, but the organized informed us the venue's security was to blame for the 90 minute-two hour long security line that prevented many people from entering until almost midnight and thus missing a third of the event.

Tickets were not checked, which allowed the event to fill to capacity and prevented several ticket holder who arrived later from being able to attend.

IDs were not checked either.

Several attendees had their personal items confiscated (cigarettes, hand sanitizer--not stated to be against the rules) and venue security refused to to return them. This is theft.

Additionally, several features of the party were missing. The organizer said the venue "dropped the ball" on the hookah and "cancelled the Bat Cave." He also cited Amazura as the reason for hour long bar and bathroom lines.

Mixed drinks sold did not contain any alcohol, though that is what patrons paid for.

Additionally, the venue was not safe. The staircase was littered with trash and cardboard boxes.

Review: I purchased two tickets to a Tim Burton Halloween event for about $64 and in the advertisement it stated many different attractions which were no where in sight! it said "choose your own adventure!" "Sneak into the Bat Cave for an escape" "live interactive event" "from crazy visuals to live performances" "Absolem's Hookah Lounge" Alice and wonderland room" "Mars attacks UFO" ..there were no live performances!! no hookah lounge!! none of these!! and thats not even all that was promised!! also the guards were inappropriately checking people before getting in and grabbing and stealing anything they could get away with meanwhile the cops were right in front and ignored peoples complaints and let them get away with it. There are many similar complaints about this nightclub on [redacted] and it seems like they have been getting away with false advertisements for a while now....I think this place should be shut down!Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund!

Review: I attended the event at Amazura last Saturday with tickets I had purchased on September **. The event was described as a Tim B[redacted] themed interactive Halloween exhibit with move themed food and beverages available. The event turned out to be a club party with one inaccessible, overrun bar and barely any theme apart from the costumed attendees who had also purchased tickets. The party was slated to run from 9 PM to 1 AM but was pushed back to 10 PM and attendees were not let in until after 11 PM. The line to get in went around the entire block and took an hour and a half waiting time. Security was confiscating items like packs of cigarettes from other attendees without any reason. After the security ordeal, the event turned out to be nothing like what was described. There was no movie themed beverages or food available for purchase and no interactive Tim B[redacted] themed installations. I want a full refund for the two tickets I purchased thinking we were attending a completely different event.Desired Settlement: A full refund for the two tier 1 tickets I purchased in September.
