Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I received a phone call from Amber representing Great American mid-November In the phone call, she did verify that they sent the Long Term Care Facility Form to the wrong facility Their Compliance Mgr stated in their response that the facility was "left blank" & the Doctor's info was "illegible" but the Dr wrote in the correct facility TWICE on the forms - Once beside his signature on the front page, and once on the Physician's Statement under "Facility or Hospital patient is confined." At no point during their review and questions pertaining to the Long Term Care Waiver request, DID THEY EVER SIMPLY PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL ME Their only way of communication seems to be mailing forms 10-days after the fact I have left messages (per week) for Amber at her extension since our first conversation, as of yet - no response.I believe this is more "foot dragging" on the company's behalf Regards, [redacted]

Our Corporate Compliance Department received your email correspondence on December 8, 2016, regarding the above referenced Great American Insurance Company® (“GALIC”) life insurance policy. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.Our company reviewed the details Mrs. [redacted] provided....

GALIC received the policy change request form for this policy on December 6, 2016. The policy change request and the medical information are currently under review in the underwriting process. Once a decision has been made, the underwriter will notify the policy owner by letter of the underwriting decision.Please be aware that GALIC also reviewed Mrs. [redacted]’s concerns about phone calls to our office. Our research did not show incorrect estimated wait times quoted from our system. Our records show we received a phone call at 11:28 a.m. on December 5, 2016 in which the hold time was quoted at 50 minutes, and that the client’s requested call back was placed at 12:41 p.m. We also show a phone call on December 8, 2016 in which there was no wait time quoted, and the client spoke with a representative for three minutes. GALIC apologizes for any delays they may have experienced while waiting to talk to one of our representatives.I hope this information is [redacted]

If her ex-husband is owed more money, then [redacted] has all of the remaining funds from her AILIC annuity that she may use to pay him. We are not responsible for satisfying her personal financial obligation to her ex-husband, and we have no obligation to pay an amount that exceeds the value of her former AILIC annuity contract.AILIC is not a fiduciary for [redacted] and does not have a fiduciary obligation to her. We are an insurance company and we sell annuity contracts. We are not a fiduciary to our clients. We do owe to our clients a duty of good faith and fair dealing, and we have fulfilled this duty to [redacted] by paying the full value of her annuity contract in accordance with her instructions.We did not process [redacted]’s request to pay to her ex-husband as a Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO) because [redacted] does not have a QDRO. The court order that she provided is not a QDRO because it does not require payment to be made to her ex-husband from the AILIC annuity contract. It requires payment from her. We cannot process a court order that is not a QDRO as if it were a QDRO.[redacted] previously submitted her complaint against AILIC to the [redacted].
