Dear [redacted] Apple Nissan is in the process of contacting , [redacted] and informing her that we will be repairing the scratches on the hood of her vehicle It is my understanding that our store will be contacting her todayThank you, Leah G***

Review: Purchased a new vehicle from Apple Nissan. While starting the deal, I mentioned to the salesman and finance person if registring the vehicle in NJ would be an issue as I was buying the vehicle in PA. They stated it would not be an issue and they do it all the time. I currently have a temp. residency due to work but will be returning to NJ. The finance person was confused when filling out the paperwork but assured me the plates would come to Pa. I went as far as to ask how inspection would work and he stated it would not be a problem as everything including my inspection sticker from NJ would be sent to me. Well a month goes by and no plates. As I am extremely busy at work, I let my temp plates expire as I waited to hear from the dealer that my plates where in. No calls so I decided to drive to the dealer. At the dealership the answer I received from [redacted], the acting manager, was that the plates were sent to my NJ address on the 28th and that I must go to Nj to straighten out the issue. If I expected for my plates to be delivered to Nj I would not be in the dealer demanding plates for my vehicle. Well I was sent on my way with no resolution, treated rudely, and made to feel as this was my error. No answers were given such as a rental, extension on my temp plates, a dealer plate nothing! [redacted] (General Manager) promised to call me with an answer but never did. I called the dealer over 4 times and could not contact [redacted] as it appears his calls were screened so he would not have to deal with me. I went and called my in laws who stop by my home twice a week to see if they had come across my plates and the answer was no. At this point we contacted the NJ DMW and 2 hours later figured out we would have to drive to NJ and correct the issue and also file a police report for my missing plates and registration. [redacted] the finance guy called me the next day and explained that it was their error and they were willing to reimburse me for my gas and offer me a rental (after my request) to drive back and straighten this out. I told [redacted] that I was going to handle the issue and I would bring him my expenses upon my return. He agreed and apologized for the error. I had to take a day off, drive over 450 miles, and was not able to drive my vehicle for an entire week. I was able to resolve the issues after 2 1/2 at the dmv, inspection station, and police department. After a long day, I went to Nissan and requested that my expenses be paid due to their error, rude service, and leak of my private information. I spoke to [redacted] (sales manager)in private with my wife in his office and explained the entire scenario as he was not clear as to what was going on. [redacted] took my information and concerns and stated that he would be calling us back. As I walked out of the office we noticed [redacted] who was the manager who blew us off and was extremely rude during our first visit smirking in the background. [redacted] returned my call a day later 11/21 and offered me my requested $517 in a service card to the dealership which is good for service and parts. This is insulting as 1. I purchased a new vehicle that is under warranty for the next 5 years, 2. I explained to [redacted] that I need my expenses to be reimbursed and I want nothing to do with the dealership. I feel their offer is unacceptable as I spent my money and time to resolve their issues and took unpaid time off to correct all of the dealerships errors. Never contacted by General Manager [redacted], [redacted] stated this is the final solution so except it as I can do np more as this is [redacted]'s final decision.Desired Settlement: Reimbursed $517 which covers all my out of pocket expenses, apology from dealership to treatment of entire process as [redacted] has his front line people giving me excuses but has not reached out to me as promised, dealer logo removed from my vehicle.

Talked with consumers spouse on phone she seemed to be very nice and understanding, I asked to meet with her and the consumer in an attempt to apologize and make amends for anything that the consumer thought we had did wrong. The consumer's wife thought this would be a good idea also.

The consumer called me on 11/25/2013 to let me know that he refuses to meet with me in person, would just like to have us send him $517 and would like to never see us again. The consumer seems hostile and very unforgiving of any errors we have made.

I found this to be surprising because the consumer is in the retail business and I am sure that he has had to deal with people just like him. In an attempt to show good will and pacify him I have authorized the amount of $517 to be sent to him.
