Terrible experience.

August 2016 - Baker Contracting finished a major updating to our townhouse. The project was to update an original master bathroom, replace upstairs hardwood floors, retreat stair treads, install Brazilian Cherry hand rail, install Newel posts and Italian Iron balusters. Included in this project was also putting in a new foyer floor. After completion of the stairs, etc., they were so beautiful that we decided to do a decorative wall treatment going up the stairs and in the foyer. Baker Contracting guided us through the process of choosing product and various resources so that we could make educated decisions regarding choice of colors, products, etc. The master bathroom is exactly what we wanted and are very happy with the workmanship involved in all aspects of this project. I would recommend Baker Contracting to anyone who wants quality workmanship and someone who is willing to sit with you to discuss options, pricing, etc., to get you to the point of actually doing the project. Baker Contracting employees were all professional and respectful of the property as the project progressed. Baker Contracting gave us high quality workmanship at a fair price. Would recommend highly and will use them again if needed in the future.

We never gave a verbal request to cease work.  We asked for a meeting to discuss the work.  When that request was ignored, we tried again.  When that second request was ignored, we sent the email asking to not schedule additional work until we had spoken.
Yes, work has been completed.  Of the work that has been completed, almost all of it must be redone.  I say "almost all" only because we have yet to be able to have the joist repair inspected - everything else must be redone due to poor workmanship and safety concerns, which he *still* refuses to address.  We should not have to pay twice to have this work done (once to Mr. Baker, and again to have it done properly), and want our deposit refunded in full.
