A [redacted] was put on the Hawaii [redacted] as a USED item. The customer, living in Texas found the ad and contacted our office. Pictures showed the units condition clearly on [redacted] ad which also showed unit had no top to it. On June 8, the... buyer agreed to pay for the potato peeler without physically seeing, touching or running unit. The buyer received a proposal with the description, price, "as is" notation, freight responsibilities and financial terms. The buyer asked for our secretary to contact him to complete the transaction via credit card payment. She confirmed his email and went over the financial terms and shipping and was given a [redacted] to charge $1200.00. Upon receipt of monies the potato peeler was taken down to be shipped out COD. Customer was well aware of the estimated shipping cost and agreed COD. Upon receipt of shipping information we relayed all of the tracking logistics to the customer as he requested. The customer immediately received an email of his paid receipt attached to the agreed proposal. Again the contract/proposal clearly stated sold "as is" and clearly states "used" No age of the machine was ever discussed as we had no information of that. The model and serial numbers were shared with the customer in advance prior to the transaction being made. Pictures of the unit was sent via text messaging to buyer of the units exterior as well as interior wear & tear. The water feature was taken off and placed inside the cavity which also shows the image of wear & tear.On July 9, customer contacted us and wanted us to pay for additional parts needed for the peeler, in which case we denied. We had an agreement and sold the piece "as is" with pictures . We offered to refund him his full $1200.00 that he paid us immediately upon receipt of the peeler back to us. He insisted that we cover the cost of the shipping and we denied. He then went on to threaten us about contacting his attorney and BBB and filing a complaint. As he was using profanity and calling us names we again stated that we would refund him his entire $1200.00 when we receive the peeler back in the way we sent it over. End of phone call.

I am rejecting this response becauseWhen I made first contact with "salesman" he told me previous owner bought it new and used it only once or twice to try to shave peels off of a certain fruit, but tore up the fruit, about 7 years ago and was cleaned up, [redacted] wrapped and put into storage ever since.  He also said it was "complete" and looked like brand new. He Never sent pre sale pictures or serial number emblem pictures until July 9th via text as shown in attachments below.  Only picture that was sent was after it was palated for shipping as indicated in text.  When it arrived notice parts were missing and machine seemed to looked very used and older than the 7 years as he indicated.  I wrote down the serial number and went to manufacture's local sales & service office and was told that it was from 1989 and some parts were obsolete.  I order the parts needed and had the basket part made by a local metal shop.  When asked about missing parts salesman told me he would ask his boss.  I called back and owner was very rude to me and said unit was sold as is and that I was sent pictures before the sale and he can prove it with [redacted] text messages was very belligerent and hung up the phone.  Then I started to receive pictures & documents on my text and email.          I challenge him to produce text messages indicating pre-sale pictures.  Again Pictures weren't sent until July 9th. He also said ad on [redacted] the picture showed it was unwrapped.  Have supporting documents below.  1). Pictures 1-8 indicate text timeline2). Picture 9 [redacted] adI still have all the emails & texts sent after after delivery and confrontation if needed. Thanks
Sincerely,
