Took my car in to have repairs made when I left my car was still making the same noise. They failed to let me know ahead of time what the problem was.On August 31,2015, took my car in thinking that my water pump was bad. Car was making a ticking noise. I told them I thought it was the water pump. They called me stating that the oil needed to be changed due to water in it & the valve cover gaskets needed replacing due to leaks. I said ok. When I went to pick up my car, after paying the $566.00 Benito asked me why did I have the water pump and timing tensioner replaced when that wasn't the problem? He said he heard the noise and it was rhw lifters. I replied to him saying "you're the mechanic, you're supposed to let me know what the problem was." He stated that they only fix what the customer tells them to, and I should have told them to check it out. When he realized that nothing was wrong with the water pump and that it was the lifters, he should have called me and told me like they called and told me about the oil and valve cover gaskets. I feel like he took my money and now I have to pay some else $1300 to fix my car and they'll have to remove the water pump, timing tensioner, and valve cover gaskets that Benito's replaced. Seeing as to how the lifters are above all of that stuff, he should have called me before doing the work to to see how to proceed, and not just take my money and replace parts7that didn't need replacing./////Desired SettlementI would like my car fixed. The actual issue that is causing the ticking (the lifters) according to Benito. I'd like for them to repair it free of charge for taking advantage of me and taking my $566 for unnecessary work that he knew wasn't the problem once he started working on my car. I don't have $566 to just throw around on var repairs that aren't even what's causing the problem. Not to mention that I definitely don't have $1300 to pay someone else for parts and labor to go behind Benito's and actually fix the problem. /////
