Review: In June, 2013 the contractor suggested building a pier for us without a permit. He began to build it with $6500 of my money, and neighbors complained. We applied for a permit and after two hearings and over a year, we received a permit. The contractor assured us that he would build it when we were ready but he is stalling and apparently not intending to build it. Meanwhile I am ripped of for $6500.Desired Settlement: I want my pier built.

Review: We signed a contract in early June 2014 to build a pier for our house which included submitting paperwork for our permit within 15 days. This was not submitted until October 2nd, 2014. Then [redacted] county required an engineering drawing for which he tried to charge us more for even though this was supposed to be covered in our contract. No additional drawings were ever submitted, although our contract stated they would be resubmitted within 15 days. We literally went months with little to no communication from our contractor until we indicated we were going to get legal assistance and were told by him that he did nothing wrong. We are six months into this contract (that had an estimated date of August) and still do not have a permit or any progress from our dock. Our contractor refuses to meet or have a phone call with us and his assistant indicated that she also hasn't spoken to him in weeks and is unable to assist.
Our contractor also misrepresented himself significantly and told us he was building 3 other docks near where we live we have discovered was not true also. We are now out thousands and thousands of dollars with absolutely nothing to show for it, we lost our whole summer with no dock, and have no sign of ever getting resolution on this. His business address listed in [redacted] apparently is a tattoo shop which was also a major misrepresentation... we have no way to find this guy.Desired Settlement: We would like a full refund of the $5400 dollars that was taken from us in June with a pier promised in August.
