The business recognized there were mistakes made on behalf of both parties and rectified much of the complaint

After being made aware of the customers concern with the noise coming from his steering system we contacted Yamaha boats and discuss the problem with themThey indicated the problem might be resolved by replacing the steering cables so we went ahead and did thatThe noise was the same
after replacement of the cables and we talked a Yamaha again and they indicated the level of noise we were experiencing is with all the boats of that modelWe inform the customer of Yamaha's response and they were not satisfied so we had someone from Yamaha come up to take a look at the boat to make sure that everything was all right right and they concluded it wasThe customer was still unsatisfied so we offered to take the boat back in trade another boat of a different brand and the customer is currently considering that Although the customer is not completely satisfied with his boat yet he understands that we have done everything possible to satisfy him and is satisfied with our effortsWill continue to work with him to make sure that he is happy and ends up with a boat that is happy with

I am rejecting this response because:We are currently given no choice but to trade in our boat due to the fact that Yamaha has no solution for the problem (noise/vibrations). We will be taking a monetary loss in order to trade our the boat. We feel that this is not our fault and we should not have to take a loss. We are not the only person who is experiencing this problem with our boat. There is another gentleman that we are aware of who lives In A different state with the same issue and no one is taking ownership and taking care of it. Why should we be the ones taking a hit on this when there is a clear issue with the boat. Not a happy consumer and something should be done so we do not take a loss and to have this situation rectified!!  Very dissatisfied. We work very hard for what we have and would expect when purchasing a product of any sort that it would meet all expectations as it should. The boat is faulty and something needs to be done for other consumers so they don't have to go through what we are.
