C S L Auto Transport Reviews (%countItem)

I live in Maryland and on July 6, 2018, I purchased a vehicle from Ferrari of San Francisco. On July 13 had it transported from California to my home. On arrival, on July 17, it was discovered that the vehicle had damage to the driver's side front fender. There is photo and video evidence that this damage was not present on pickup. The transport was arranged by the dealership and CSL auto transport of Wildomar, CA was used for the transportation. Apparently the job was brokered to a different company, Z&M Transport LLC of Galveston, TX. Upon discovery of the damage, I immediately notified the Z&M driver, and spoke with Chris *** a representative from CSL about it. At that time, Mr. assured me that it would be taken care of. This all changed however after I presented Mr. with an estimate from an authorized repair shop. At that point an unfortunate cycle of denial of responsibility began. I tried repeatedly to get a response from both Z&M and CSL to take care of the repair for nearly a month. Mr. passed off the responsibility to Z&M and no one from Z&M would contact me. I last tried to re-contact Mr. on July 20 without response. After having no success at a resolution, on August 7 I opted to repair the vehicle out of my own pocket. The repair was completed on August 30 and on August 31, ***, a representative from Z&M gave me their insurance information to begin processing a claim. I heard nothing from CSL or Z&M until October 23rd when at the dealership's request, Mr. contacted me to let me know that a claim hadn't been filed by Z&M. He assured me that he would be now be taking the lead on getting the matter resolved. On November 15, I was told that a claim was filed, a case number was generated, and that I would be hearing from an insurance representative regarding reimbursement for the repair. Once again I heard nothing from the insurance company and nothing from Mr. for over 3 more weeks. I reached out to Mr. on December 21st in an attempt to get information on an insurance claim number or a claims specialist who may have been assigned my case but since December 21st, I've had no response. It has been nearly 6 months since the incident and the transport company has continued to fail to take care of the damage they caused to my vehicle. The damage to my vehicle occurred because it wasn’t properly secured during transportation. As vehicle transporters, both CSL and Z&M have responsibility to their clients in making sure that the vehicles they transport remain damage free during the process. Obviously accidents can happen, and when they do, these companies have additional responsibilities including making sure their customer is made whole again after damage has occurred. This situation however is different. It wasn't an accident because it was preventable and unfortunately these companies have not taken responsibility for their negligence.

A few years back I hired Chris L for enclosed transport from Houston to the PASHA Port in San Diego. After extensive research I felt safe with him. He spoke highly of "his trucks" and "his drivers." The only quote more expensive than his was Fed Ex. I trusted my dream car was in good hands. My first red flag was the day my car got picked up in Houston he called me to ask for registration info that was in the glove box of the car. Anyways car arrived with 40 extra miles on it, molten rubber stuck to the wheel wells, a blown head gasket and it barely ran. He tried to blame my mechanic at the pick u location. It TURNS OUT HE IS A BROKER AND HAS NO TRUCKS OR DRIVERS.
When asking him about transport company he hired, he claimed to be in touch with them all week but did could not recall their name.
From the time I had a problem Chris went from very helpful to very defensive.
After buying the car, then paying nearly 3k to ship to Hawaii, I couldn't afford to fix it yet. I pay monthly to store this car and now I can expect to need a new motor.
Thanks Chris! You da man!
