The job was completed as contracted, however there are a couple of small items that the customer did not like regarding two transitionsWe were not notified of these outstanding items until recently, (we are the sub-contractor for
another company)As soon as the items were brought to our attention we scheduled, with the customer, to have one of our technicians make the requested adjustmentsOur technician was turned away when he arrived at her home at the mutually agreed upon time
It should be noted that the customer has dogs which are the cause of the chunks coming off as well as other wear issuesEven though there is no warranty for damage due to dogs, we agreed to replace some of those boards free of charge
When I visited the home the customer did show me some dustWhether that dust is from our installation over a year earlier I cannot confirmIt is possible we used a chop saw without a bag, but that is not our general practiceHowever, the customer also claimed that sawdust from the installation embedded into her ceiling causing the ceiling to change colorI don't believe this is physically possibleNeither the general contractor nor I could not see any change of color in the area the customer pointed outBut we did agree to split a reasonable cost of a general cleaning for the home
I am still willing to have one of my technicians change the transitions as requested

As far as complaints go, I complained to my rep from day oneHe told me he had a bad memory and to keep reminding him, which I did
When their technician came out, I wasn't sure what to expect, since they we supposed to have someone evaluate the floor, that's what I thought they were going to doThey left no wood for repairs and the technician didn't bring any eitherThe technician did look at the floor noticing it wasn't wearing well and saw the ceiling problem, he even tried to see if he could fix the murkiness of the floorDepending on who you speak with they will tell you the floor cleaner that you are using isn't good for the floorI cleaned with what they told me
Yes, I have dogs and have for yearsThe wood floors I had never had wearing problems like thisMy rep was well aware that I had dogs and if he thought this would be a problem should have said this would not be a good floor with dogsI am at months now and the floor looks like it needs to be refinished and have for some timeAlthough I don't this that would fix the problems of the splitting and chunks coming outRegarding the chunks coming outThis started happening the same week they installed the floor, replacing boardsThe tech who replaced them said it would you don't want to keep doing this it ruins the look
Regarding the ceiling, the rep who accompanied *** told me he saw the ceiling problem*** would be the only one who can't see that a problem exists
I was told by the rep that I should not expect a new floorThis is not my intentionI had a bad experience with the first installation that still has not been completed, why would I want to go through this with them again
I just spoke with the distributor today and they said they are waiting for paperwork on this matter from ChampionWhen my husband spoke with our rep today he was told it could take months for the paperwork to be doneI was also informed by the distributor, that I was supposed to receive instructions on maintenance and warranty info at the time of installationI have never received anythingWe are getting the run-around
This is by far not finished or resolvedWe know someone who is having similar problems with the same repand getting the same response
I'm not ready for small claims court yet, but I see this going in that direction

Worst experience imaginableThe floor they installed came unglued in the middle of the entry way week after they installed itThe repair is the most pathetic workmanship I've ever seenDo yourself a favor and go any where else for your floor
