Review: This contractor, Lenny * J[redacted], Owner/Operator of Chop Chop Home Care was hired to hang, finish and paint drywall in my basement. Each one of his quotes were upcharged from the initial quote. At first, he seemed to be doing well except for some poor work in pointed out along the way. As the work progressed, things got worse, much worse. I have a home surveillance system which identifed Mr. J[redacted] having his family come into my house while I was at work with a child and a toddler working around power tools, stairwells, drywall sanding dust and paint fumes. The basement is not at all child proofed and permission was not granted to have them there. From my alert system, I found Mr. J[redacted] removing materials fromt the worksite and taking them without permission. Buckets, electrical cords, wood, drywall to start. I also learned and reported to Mr. J[redacted] that his helper on 10/12/14 urinated in my driveway and in my yard. I informed Mr. J[redacted] that he overcharged me by $50 and his work was so poor once I returned home to inspect it and I wanted partial payment back from him to have the work completed correctly. Nearly every seam of the (56) 4'x8' sheets of drywall are showing tape or other large depressions in the drywall or screw holes. The inside corners have no support and are paper backed and punctured after he painted them. The stairwell drywall that he hung is not finished or painted and claimed it was a misunderstanding. When questioned about the theft, he said he was trying to clean up but left piles of trash on the floor filling 3 large lawn and garden bags, cigarette butts all over my yard, drink containers and true trash behind. He told me he would return the wood, drywall, buckets and ext cord, he had them in his shed. He agreed to reimburse $150, $50 was overpayment and $100 towards the repair/finishing of poor or incomplete work. Mr J[redacted] replied, "This is not [redacted] where you complain and they give you a refund, I don't guarantee or warranty any of my work, Go F yourself."Desired Settlement: I do not want Mr. J[redacted] near my house. I want to be refunded as it will cost me more than I paid him to replace or repair the poor work that he did. Without paint, I was not able to see how poor the work was while he was doing it. I want this on his record to inform others of his business practices, child endangerment, theft, and lies. The walls appear to be painted without the drywall seams being finished. I seek $500.
