I just read your email which we received at 8.27 PM last night. Im sorry that we did not reply to your email last night to your liking but we were sleeping after long day working.

High humidity in the air can set off smoke alarms. The density of the moisture particles in the air trigger the alarm. The device has no way of distinguishing between light smoke particles and heavy moisture content.
There is nothing we could do to prevent that. This never happened to us before and the alarm did not went off since then. The smoke alarm detector works correctly and does what is supposed to do.
I don't know what kind of compensation are you looking for. We did apologize to you when you brought it to our attention and I thought the matter was handled since you stayed another night.
Smoke detectors safe lives and we should be happy for such a technology.

Why would we make up a story like this? My wife was frightened by this unexpected event and so was I. I am willing to submit to a lie detector test and so is my wife to prove that this did in fact happen. To charge us for that night after what happened is poor business practice. I expect you to refund us for that night. I should have taped the alarm on my phone to show you but as I said before I would be willing to submit to a lie detector test.
