I have owned a condominium in the gold coast/streeterville area for 11+ years that is managed by Community Specialists, LP In this time I have seen property managers come and go like a revolving doorEach one starts with promises they cannot keep, and then when questioned, they blame the board Year after year this promise gets worse Finally after tired of the harassment, poor management, poor attitudes, drop in value, and negative employee feedback on the overall status of the condition of the property to name a few, I decided to list my property for sale or rent After working with a financial advisor and my bank going thru the process we learned that I could not refinance or sell my condo because there was a lien on the property I have pushed the property manager [redacted] for an answer and CANNOT GET ONEThe owners in this building were NOT made aware of this lien and we need an answer! What is going on and why has this not been communicated to us when this occurred!

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/05/05) */ Dear Revdex.com; We responded on 4/30/to an email sent on 4/27/to us from the owner of units #and The owner's email of 4/27/outlined his issues in a very detailed mannerThe gist of our response to the owner's 4/27/email was that his email, which outlined in detail his issues, was being forwarded to the Board of Directors of the Association, who are the governing body and key authority at the AssociationOur firm as the Association's manager, and its on-site employees are directed by and report to the Association's Board of DirectorsIn essence, the Board is the decision making body and the unit owner's concerns needed to be directed to the Board since only the Board can give management direction on this matterOn 5/1/14, the unit owner sent an email which thanked us and asked some additional questions, to which we have responded We want to make the Revdex.com aware of the basic business relationships in this matterThe owner of these units at the Association is not the individual who sent the complaint to the Revdex.com on 4/25/(As stated above: the unit owner sent an email communication to management on 4/27/outlining his issues, to which email we have since responded)The Association's relationship is with the owner of the unitsThe person who sent the complaint to the Revdex.com occupies unit #as a non-owner resident related to the actual unit ownerIn essence, the person who complained about our firm and the Association has an occupancy relationship with the unit owner, not the Association or its management
