I am responding regarding your complaint id: [redacted] ( [redacted] ) filed by [redacted] Morrisville, PA 19067.Our records indicate that Mr [redacted] purchased a digital subscription at a promotional rate of $for the first monthFollowing the first month the rate increased to our rate of $per monthMost of our promotional materials in print and on our websites indicate that the electronic charge will actually be posted about days prior to the end of the subscription termOur records indicate that Mr [redacted] contacted our office to dispute the subscription charge he references on FEB Because we were not certain the promotion that Mr [redacted] saw for the $promotional rate indicated when billing at the regular price would begin, we refunded the $subscription amount to his credit cardWe believe that the Customer Service Representative who handled the call told him that a refund would have to be approved by a supervisor because she was not authorized to post refunds to credit cardsHe may have suspected that she was attempting to avoid providing a refundThat was not her intentThat is our policyOur records indicate that refund transaction to his card was entered on FEB We have taken steps to make sure that the billing language is more clearly explained for customers who are ordering digital subscriptions on our websitesWe believe that this complaint was appropriately resolved and we would appreciate it if you could update your files to reflect thatIf any additional information is required, I can be contacted at ###-###-####, or at [redacted] .Respectfully,Steven FT [redacted] General Manager

subscription at a promotional rate of $.99 for the first month. Following the first month the rate increased to our normal rate of $9.99 per month. Most of our promotional materials in print and on our websites indicate that the electronic charge will actually be posted about 7 days prior to the end of the subscription term.
Our records indicate that Mr. [redacted] contacted our office to dispute the subscription charge he references on 13 FEB 15. Because we were not certain the promotion that Mr. [redacted] saw for the $.99 promotional rate indicated when billing at the regular price would begin, we refunded the $9.99 subscription amount to his credit card. We believe that the Customer Service Representative who handled the call told him that a refund would have to be approved by a supervisor because she was not authorized to post refunds to credit cards. He may have suspected that she was attempting to avoid providing a refund. That was not her intent. That is our policy. Our records indicate that refund transaction to his card was entered on 15 FEB 15.
We have taken steps to make sure that the billing language is more clearly explained for customers who are ordering digital subscriptions on our websites.
