I am rejecting this response because:I by no means am trying to get services for free I am very much eager to work toward a workable resolution By Delta's own admission, you acknowledge your oversight in missing the additional work and these critical componentsTo that end, I am more than willing to pay 50% of the $which is a fair and equitable resolution.

[redacted] contradicts himself (as he has done COUNTLESS times on the phone with me): he can't seem to make up his mind which excuse he'd like to hide behind to avoid doing the right thing.  His first excuse was that it was shoddy pipe but that he wasn't responsible for the quality product that HE USED; I would have to try to get compensated from the copper pipe manufacturer.  When that excuse didn't work, he then tried to claim (as he did in this response) that the leak occurred on existing pipe that he did not install.  The fact that our leak occurred on the pipe [redacted] worked on is an indisputable fact, one that he first admitted to when we sent him the photos of the leak.  I have talked to numerous expert plumbers, researched the internet, and had 2 plumbers come & look at the circulatory pump and the affected pipe; bottom line: pinhole leaks don't just "commonly occur on circulatory systems." The leak had nothing to do with the circulatory pump but rather occurred on the exact pipe that [redacted] denies welding when they hurriedly repaired our pump (backwards and then forwards).  Pin hole leaks DO commonly occur when welding workmanship is "less than."  As all plumbers know, improper reaming can cause pin hole leaks in copper pipe, mostly on piping with continuous flow such as those connected to a circulatory pump.   This work was performed on 4/23/14, not 1 year and 9 months ago.  I find it unacceptable and disappointing that, after ALL the missteps and headaches and mistakes Delta 1 Plumbing put us through, that they are unwilling to compensate us for the damage to our home caused by their workmanship.

Dear [redacted]: Delta 1 Plumbing clearly states in our website that we give free phone estimates. A free phone estimate was given to you. [redacted] took your call over the phone. I gave you a very clear price of $963.63. You stated to me that your water heater was leaking  and could we weld...

around the spout on the bottom of the water heater .   At that time I told you that water heaters are glass Lined and could not be welded to repair it. You still wanted me to send a plumber to your house. You still wanted me to send a plumber to your house after I explained it thoroughly to you over the phone.  You also told me that you would replace the water heater yourself. You refused our service to install you a new water heater.  You said no don't bring a water heater with you.   This was your free estimate over the phone. I went over every detail with you and you still wanted me to send a plumber to your home. For that we charge $123.50. Plumbers can't work for free.    Obviously some people want something for free, We can't work for free. Specially when you were told exactly what was wrong and what it was going to take to fix it over the phone. Also this what our website says: Customer Service We at Delta 1 Plumbing look forward to adding you as one of our family. Once you are our customer, at that time you become part of our family. We look forward to getting to know you better. Give us a call for a FREE Accurate Phone Estimate. Copyright: Delta 1 Plumbing   [redacted] PhD MP

Dear [redacted]: We at Delta 1 Plumbing has always appreciate our customers and try our level best to accommodate your needs at a price that is fair to you and as to us as well. However since we gave you an estimate of a job to be done that does not mean that we have to do that job at that price...

since it was an estimate not a bid. A bid is a set price that you are to be charge by contract. An estimate is an estimate of what the job should cost . Obviously you don’t understand the difference, furthermore you were very clearly told of the $800 additional charge for the parts and labor of an additional job to this estimate that was not on the first estimate. We understand your frustration, we don’t understand you giving us the go ahead to do the work and then after work completed you coming back and writing bad reviews and complaints on several search engines and including the Revdex.com. Every so often  we run across people that wants work for free and uses the Revdex.com and various search engines to voice their opinions and that is ok with us. However, that does not excuse the fact that you approve the work to be done at your facility and it does not let you off the hook of the debt that you owe.  Have a very nice day Mr. [redacted]. PS. We have tried 20+ times to call you on your phone, Tel. [redacted]  and you do not answer  and it goes to voicemail and your mailbox is full. Which means we can't leave you a message. It is very hard to discuss your bill with you, or plumbing work when you won’t communicate with us.  Again have a very nice day. Mr. [redacted]. DR. [redacted] PhD MP

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: what's being stated is after [redacted] was at my house... not over the phone. no price or quotes were given over the phone. even the lady I spoke to TWICE stated there was no cost to come out, only if they repaired which NOTHING was repaired.
Regards,
[redacted]

First of all if I understand Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint properly the
issue is that I refused to pay her $625.00 for water damage to her garage. I
would also agree that we did install a circulation pump backwards which we
promptly corrected our mistake the same day. The water leak at issue in...

this
complaint was a pin hole which occurred approximately 6" to 8" above
the point where we installed the circulating pump on existing pipe that we did
not install. This is a common problem which occurs on circulating systems as
all plumbers know and no one can predict when or where one will occur. The only
thing we did was install the circulating pump which after we corrected our
mistake there were no more issues with. The leak in question was a pin hole in
the pipe which occurred approximately one year and nine months later, and had
nothing to do with the installation of the circulating pump. The issues Mrs.
[redacted] references in her complaint about the hot water heater was resolved
through the warranty process, as the heater in question had a factory defect
and was replaced under warranty. I do not think that Delta 1 Plumbing should be
held responsible for a leak on an existing pipe that occurred one year and nine
months later which had nothing to do with the work we performed.
