In regards to complaint ID [redacted] , On September 19, 2017, the customer came to us with a small ding on his vehicleThe first thing we ask with all customers is if they have valid insuranceAfter confirming he was insured through ***, we had no problem repairing the small crackBefore the repair the customer inquired about our warranty policyOur policy is as stated, "In some cases, the attempt to repair a windshield can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and we are not responsible for such damageOur windshield warranty works as such: if you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will credit the cost of repair toward replacementIf your insurance company paid for the repair, the insurance company will receive credit." This policy is the same as the national standard: [redacted] , which is the corporation that the customer previously looked at, but is not available in our areaOn December 16, 2017, the customer came back to us because the repaired ding on his windshield had grown largerAfter he expressed his concerns, we directed him to the section of our policy stating, "Our windshield warranty works as such: if you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will credit the cost of repair toward replacementIf your insurance company paid for the repair, the insurance company will receive credit." The customer was simply not satisfied with the stated policy and wanted the entire windshield replaced at our expenseWe explained to him that our guarantee would be fulfilled by refunding the windshield chip repair cost, and if he wished, that cost would go directly to the new windshieldOnce again looking back at the policy, "...if you are dissatisfied with the repair, we will credit the cost of repair toward replacement..." In conclusion the most that we can/could do was credit back [redacted] for the job that we originally didThe customer wanting the entire windshield replaced on our dime is simply unwarrantedBest regards, [redacted]

All this is going to lead is talking in circles as its just anecdotal evidence from both sides Everyone's policy is going to be the same no matter where you look The policy is that we will repair the crack that was originally given to us If the chip runs from that point after the repair, any company would simply refund whoever paid the cost of the repair or credit it toward a new windshield Best Regards, [redacted]

Complaint ID: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because there are multiple points within it that misleading or untrue. First, the decision to do business with this company was not made until an employee stated that the repaired crack will be covered under warranty if it spread. At that point I decided to do business with the company instead of going through my insurances partner, [redacted]. After being asked why [redacted]'s employee stated that it would be covered, he replied that "I'm sorry, it is because he is uneducated". Second, [redacted] never showed me a policy showing me their warranty, instead they verbally relayed they warranty as stated above. The warranty [redacted] claims is the an exact copy of [redacted]'s policy off of [redacted] that he has more than likely just copy and pasted to this case. Lastly, if [redacted]'s policy would not have covered a crack that spread then my insurance through [redacted] would have. But, since I went with [redacted] will not cover or insure any of the work that [redacted] did on my car. I knew this before I went to [redacted] and the only reason I decided to do business with them is because they promised a warranty that if the crack spread afterwards, then they would repair it. Repairing it includes replacing the windshield since the crack has went across my entire windshield and into my view of the road.

All this is going to lead is talking in circles as its just anecdotal evidence from both sides.  Everyone's policy is going to be the same no matter where you look.  The policy is that we will repair the crack that was originally given to us.  If the chip runs from that point after the repair, any company would simply refund whoever paid the cost of the repair or credit it toward a new windshield.   Best Regards,[redacted]

Review: I went to this business on 2/27/2015 to purchase a set of used tires. Upon inspection I was told that I need a set of back brakes and rotors ,which I also purchased. The contract stated that the parts were under a 30 day warranty. The next week I returned the tires because none of them passed the tread test. The owner told me that they were used tires, which I understood. On 4/1/2015 I took my car to another mechanic to get my state inspection. The from two tires did not pass. Wear could not have been an issue as my car had not been driven, with the exception of taking it to the mechanic, since 3/17/2015. I was also told that my brakes were borderline and that they would need replaced soon. I have noticed that they are squeaking.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded for the tires that I had to replace and for the brakes and rotors. I do not want them to work on my car again.
