I received the complaint in the mail from *** *** stating this company forged my electronic signature and forwarded it to the finance companyI was emailed a copy of an already signed and accepted contract that I never even had the opportunity to review. I have different
employees that work at Discount Mattresses and MoreI have spoken with all of them about this manorI can not speak to the electronic signature because I was not at the shopI do however have a copy of her signature on our invoiceSo she did acknowledge the products she was receivingWe use a few different financing companies that typically require certain steps from our customers such as verification of the customer information where they receive a call, also they provide a code in a text message stating that using the code is equivalent to their electronic signatureSo I believe the sale happened so fast that she didn't realize she did sign for it with the financing companies. The desired settlement: I would like to find out a way to make the customer happy with her purchaseWe pride ourselves on doing good business. Thank you, Ryan B*** (owner)

I don't accept this responseAt the very beginning I made it very clear that I wanted this company to come and get their merchandise due to my signature being forgedI have made this clear to not only Ryan but also to the finance company and both have refused to pick up their merchandise the items have not and will not be usedThere was NO rush at all an illegal act took place when my signature was forged and the contract is not legalThere is NOTHING this company can offer me outside of righting this indiscretionThese are unacceptable business practices and it IS NEVER ok to forge anyone's signature whether physically or electronically PERIODThis is absolutely absurd that he continues to use the term "rush" when there was NO RUSHAgain, it is illegal to forge anyone's signatureWhen is was told I would receive a contract to read and sign I should have received just that, a contract for ME to READ and SIGNI received an ALREADY SIGNED CONTRACTNo, there was NO RUSH what so everThis company forged my signature and refused to pick up their merchandise.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.The sale did not happen so quickly that I didn't notice signing a legally binding contract as insinuated by the representativeI was told I would receive a contract for "ME" to review and signWhen I receive the contract it was already electronically signedI was never given the legal opportunity to view the contractAn invoice and a contact are two totally different documents ie a contract being legally bindingIt is never legal nor ok to assume forging a customers signature whether physically or electronically is ok because it's notIt's definitely a big deal and the contract is illegal not to mention this is a crime

We have received the response from [redacted] and I am not sure how we can help her. She has the merchandise at home and so therefore we can not cancel the lease. I spoke with the employees about this situation. Reminded everyone how serious financial documents are and to slow down the process with the customers. We have been able to help the greater Indianapolis area for 5+ years and I apologize [redacted] had a bad experience. If [redacted] needs anything in the future the owner of Discount Mattresses and More, Ryan B[redacted], will personally handle all future situations and also agrees to offer her the next product she needs at factory cost. I have reviewed the statement from the customer. My employees are saying that they never forged any signature. We continue to use the same finance companies and the same system with all our customers. We certainly did not forge your signature on the invoice in our store. That invoice with your signature states all sales final. We have our copy here with your signature. We do not do returns because we only sell BRAND NEW merchandise. So unfortunately we can not do any returns and the finance companies stand behind the stores policies. Since we do not do returns is there any other way that I can help you?
