Ecological Community Builders contacted me after my name was put on a list of persons needing contractors by Lowe's A salesman promptly came to my home and looked at my bathroom which I am having remolded While measuring by bathroom he took a more than minute call from another customer , I considered the long call somewhat unprofessional When he finished his call and measurements the salesman proceeded to the me his companies nonprofit status and all the good works they do I was aware of this from reading on line and from his long call with the other customer Near the end of his visit the salesman told me the next day he would e mail me a estimate and text me that a e mail had been sent I said that would be great Just before leaving he told be that they could finance the project and the bill could be paid in payments I said that I would be paying cash and his expression seemed to change , he said good bye and left Its been a week now and I have yet to hear a word back from them I can assume they only want to do business with persons who need financing Maybe financing is their real business

I hired Ecological Community Builders for my kitchen remodel projectFrom beginning to end I felt fully informed of what I was getting and how and when it was going to happenThe service was prompt, affordable and impeccably professional
No negatives, just simply pleased I received the service that I did

Ecological Community Builders contacted me after my name was put on a list of persons needing contractors by Lowe's . A salesman promptly came to my home and looked at my bathroom which I am having remolded . While measuring by bathroom he took a more than 15 minute call from another customer , I considered the long call somewhat unprofessional . When he finished his call and measurements the salesman proceeded to the me his companies nonprofit status and all the good works they do . I was aware of this from reading on line and from his long call with the other customer . Near the end of his visit the salesman told me the next day he would e mail me a estimate and text me that a e mail had been sent . I said that would be great . Just before leaving he told be that they could finance the project and the bill could be paid in payments . I said that I would be paying cash and his expression seemed to change , he said good bye and left . Its been a week now and I have yet to hear a word back from them . I can assume they only want to do business with persons who need financing . Maybe financing is their real business .

Ecological Community Builders LLC is now out of business. The company took several customers money this spring including me and close down shop. They left me with an incompetent subcontractor who walked off the job the first week due to lack of payment. The sub left my home exposed, damaged several walls in the house along with 50 plus years hard wood floors that were in perfect condition. I ended up file with NC Department of Justice Consumer Division who could not get a response out o the company owner Lu Schulman. I thank God however that my credit union worked to get my money back through their credit card dispute process after 3 long stressful months. During my research I discover that a least one of the managers at the company had file for his own business license in April 2017...so at the execution of my contract they were all aware that the company was in trouble...the charlotte NC sales guy quite the week I signed the contracts and the GC in Charlotte quit the week my work was to start and the sub told me he went to work at Lowes. Be on the look out for all of these characters from Eco Builders/ Builders of Hope starting new businesses under different names an GC license#. I am so grateful to God that I was finally able to recover my money.

+1

I contracted with this company to tear down and replace a attached deck. They did not provide adequate supervision to there employees and they did not order the correct amount of materials for the deck. As a result, they used some of the old wood for the new deck (a building code violation). They later confessed that this was only the second deck that they're crew had ever built. As a result they sub-contracted with another company to correct there mistakes so that the deck would pass code.

I received above and beyond what was expected. Professional and courteous as I used Ecological Community Builders to remodel at least 3/4 of my home. From my kitchen to two baths, roof, siding and a living room and hallway area. I could not have asked for a better experience. Will highly recommend them!!!
