I saw a used Toyota Yaris listed on their website for $6,and contacted them They contacted me back via e-mail, the e-mail repeated the price of $6,495, so I made plans to go take a test drive About a week later, I saw on their website that the car had been reduced to $5,I arranged to take a day off from work and went out to take a test drive The car was good, with a few minor issues I told the salesman that I would likely pay most of the price in cash but would finance a small portion of itWhen I went in to discuss the car, the manager came out and told me that the dealership had already sold the car to another dealer for $10, He was willing to sell the car to me for $10,First, the claim that they had already sold the car made no sense If they'd sold the car (for nearly double the asking price?) they wouldn't be letting me test drive it Secondly, the practice is illegal and is a classic Bait-and-switch The manager went on to tell me that the online price included a $2,discount for repeat customers who had bought from them in the last year Not only is this deceptive, it still doesn't explain the price tag since $5,+ $2,does not equal $10,I strongly suspect that they had been hoping for a buyer who would finance the car and that they would make additional money by giving bad financing terms When they found out I planned to pay most of the price in cash, they decided to mark up the price (to nearly double the asking price!) to get me out the doorThis dealer should not have an A+ rating They should be investigated and guilty parties for their scam arrested Bait-and-switch is an illegal practice

On behalf of the dealership I would like to apologize for the any inconvenience that may have been causedI will make sure that the checks have been cut and sent out to the customer financial institutionI will also send copies of the checks to the customer so that they may save them for their records
