My husband and I purchased the 3-float package, and later an additional single float on holiday special. All floats were scheduled with Epic Float. The day of my first float, Jennifer texted us to say there was an issue with the tanks and she needed to move me to the next day. This worked out and I did the float. However, when the dual-appointment my husband and I had arrived, she texted again that morning to say she had an issue and needed to reschedule us. We rescheduled, and the morning of that appointment, she called to cancel. This time, she did not offer to find us a new date. I had my other single appointment a couple weeks later, so I figured I'd work it out then. Except the morning of that appointment, she cancelled. That is 4 of 5 of our appointments that were cancelled. I asked at that point for her to refund the remaining floats we had, and she agreed. The total was $158.32. She said she'd have to mail us a check, because after all that rescheduling, not all floats were available for credit card return since 90 days had passed. That was January 26, 2020. By February 12, we still had not received the check, so I contacted her. On Feb. 13, she said she'd mail another check and to shred the other one if I receive it. On Feb. 22, I told her we still had no check. She said she probably got the zip code wrong but now she has no cash and can no longer send it. She said she's being bought out and will pay me after the transaction goes through. I said that was unacceptable. She responded, "I'm sorry it has effected your life as much as it has." Then it occurred to me that the last float was purchased within 90 days, so she agreed to at least refund that. The remaining balance we are owed is $123.32. Meanwhile, everything on the internet indicates Epic Float is still open and accepting payments from people, that they may never get back. Epic Float even has other sites you can pay them on, like Groupon, active at this moment. Yet, she cannot provide the service or provide a refund.

Epic Float is currently in the process of a transition to another float studio. The first purchase I was not able to refund due to credit card processor and length of time since when purchase was made to refund was past the time frame processor would allow a credit card refund. Yes I did mail a check originally and it took almost 2 weeks for me to get the check returned in the mail because the address I had mailed it to was not correct. The second check was my fault and I admitted this and apologized for this error on my part, started transition process and with my personal battles I have been faced with that customer was made aware of in which I apologized again and did tell her that I can send her a check for her refund once this transition is complete because right now I do not have sales coming in. My groupon was shut down. There is also a plan in world with the company taking over to allow floats credits to be used in which I’m working out with them. I currently am not able to work the studio so the company taking over has been running floats this week to make the transition smooth and East in clients who are already booked in the schedule. The $35 I was able to return but the $123 from the package purchased in July 2019 I can refund once the business transition is complete. I’m sorry for the horrible experience you had with my corporation. This has never been how I wanted my clients to feel. Life battles have put me in situations I thought would never be making it difficult to have access and funds to make this return when she requested and I apologize for this. Please advice how I should refund the monies owed. I can refund Tuesday.

I can not move forward with payment to you for this refund until I receive the final contract from attorney. Once I receive the contract and receive the payment that will be wired to my checking account from the new business taking over, I will send to you as soon as I receive it. I was told by their attorney that I would have the contract by today, but We are still waiting for the contract. I do not have any personal income and haven’t since I opened the business. I’m telling you I will refund this money as soon as I have it to send you.

I am rejecting this response because: the fact that my money was spent before providing the service is against accounting practices, business etiquette, and actual laws. This is not resolved until I have my money returned.
